12oz bottle into snifter. Best by 11/27/2013. Thanks Matt!

A: Pours a clear golden honey color with a finger of off-white head that quickly faded into a fuzzy collar leaving
S: Grapefruit and pine on the nose with sweeter notes of tropical fruits and mango.
T: Mellow bready malts poke through beneath a dominating hop profile of grapefruit, mango and sweet fruit nectar. Very juicy overall, with a sweet finish and slightly bitter aftertaste.
M: Sweet and smooth mouthfeel with low splashing carbonation and a resinous freshly hoppy medium-full body.
O: Can’t believe I waited so long to try this beer. I would buy this often if it were available on my shelves, it’s pretty damn solid. Thanks a ton Matt.

a clean golden pour with 2 fingers of off white foamy head leaving behind great amounts of lacing. excellent head retention. aromas of cascade hops (pine, grapefruit), simcoe (cat pee) and a blend of caramel malts play a wonderful combination on the nostrils. a somewhat herbal hoppy flavor hits the palate immediately, followed by the sweetness of the malt, then some citrusy grapefruit and pine are revealed, and a lingering bitterness ensues. the mouthfeel is a bit soft on this one - feels a tad bit watery and creamy on the back end,but like a medium body beer on the front end of the palate - good amount of carbonation.

this is a pretty solid ipa. i've had better from them, but as far as a year-round single ipa, this is solid.

Appearance is an orange/amber color with a thick white head that laces the glass with perfect rings --> making it embarrassingly obvious how fast I drank this one :)

Smell is grapefruit/tropical fruit/piney, classic west coast IPA.

Taste is a bitter piney/grapefruit from the hops. Balanced by some bready malts in the background.

Mouth feel is light-medium. Alc is well covered. After taste is bitter/piney hops.

Overall this beer is a perfect standard west coast IPA. It ranks with Stone IPA, Uinta Hop Notch, Firestone Walker Union Jack, etc. Great beer.

Snagged a few in CO on a drive across country. Looks like a best by date of 11/2013

Pours a lovely golden orange with clean white head, mild visible carbonation

Aroma- fragrant pink grapefruits and tropical fruit, strong green herbal presence, chewy malt

Taste- follows nose. Sweet, bitey citrus with pink grapefruit zest and orange, some tropical fruits (light mango, passion fruit), herbal spice and a touch of pine with pale and caramel malts. Finishes with some herbal spice, orange and grapefruit zest

Feel- standard west coast IPA (great)

Well I picked up a bushel of various Colorado beers that I don't typically see on either coast, and I'm going to assume that they all will have trouble beating this brew. Fantastic IPA, delicious and layered hop presence that isn't too abrasive.

A: Amber, pretty much the classic American IPA color. Very good head and lacing

S: Again, pretty classic pine/citrus hop aroma. Right down the middle

T: Tastes like it smells, with slightly sweet toast malt threaded throughout. Would love it more just a touch less sweet

M: Classic

O: I call this my "go to" IPA for the classic IPA taste started out West. I think it's a little overrated as more distinctive and original IPA's are out there, but this one never disappoints.
