A: Tangerine/gold in color, soapy white head with spotty lacing.
S: Clean, pine smell. Some orange peel, juicy fruit smells, slight hop oil.
T: Lemon peel with an underlying caramel/toffee sweetness. Hop oils in the finish, adding a noticeable earthy bitterness that is not overpowering. Bright citrus notes in the finish as well.
M: Pretty smooth, a touch thin. Oily, and some slight acidity on the tongue.
D: From the title of the beer, thought it was going to be a tad more hoppy. But, a good beer nonetheless. Nothing that really smacks me over the head and amazes me, but drinkable and would have another. Odells makes great beer.

Bottle poured into a Duvel tulip. Dated 8-21-14, so must be a "best by" date since this is still July. Medium orange body with a light haze. Two finger off-white head that dissipates fairly quickly but leaves a bit of lacing.
Wow - nice aroma for an APA. Heavy fruit notes that seem to be a blend of many types of fruit including citrus, tropical AND a peach note. Very light malt note in the background.
The taste follows the aroma but I expected it to be a little sweeter based on the aroma. But, that's OK, the flavor rocks. A light hop note that is little more grassy than piney gives the sweet hop and malt flavors a balance.
Medium thickness in the mouthfeel and no obvious notice of alcohol. I really like this and will be seeking it out.

On draft at the Odell Brewery - June 2013
A - Yellow golden, tons of clarity. 1/2 a finger of head, and a little lace
A - Big and hoppy, due to the dry hopped process.
T - A big hopy pale ale. Well balanced, tasty!
M - Well carbonated, smooth.
O - Best Pale ale I have had in awhile. Almost - IPA-ish. Get some!
