12 oz. bottle poured into nonic
L: pale gold ... yellow ... not much of a head, white, does stick
S: citrus, a bit bitter (grapefruit-like) with some skunk -- the bottle isn't clear, but there's clearly some skunk in this
T: citrusy, a bit sweet ... not quite a candied orange but in that direction; a ton of grain for an American IPA ... still bitter with some grapefruit. it leans all on the citrus side.
F: solid, not remarkable, plenty of carbonation despite a pretty flat pour
O: a good beer but not one of a kind -- it's got good citrus notes, and the bitter bite is there but very manageable. tastes good, and I'd have no problem drinking this all the time, but I can name 20 other American IPAs just as good or better

Bottle poured into a Duvel tulip. Dated 8-21-14, so must be a "best by" date since this is still July. Medium orange body with a light haze. Two finger off-white head that dissipates fairly quickly but leaves a bit of lacing.
Wow - nice aroma for an APA. Heavy fruit notes that seem to be a blend of many types of fruit including citrus, tropical AND a peach note. Very light malt note in the background.
The taste follows the aroma but I expected it to be a little sweeter based on the aroma. But, that's OK, the flavor rocks. A light hop note that is little more grassy than piney gives the sweet hop and malt flavors a balance.
Medium thickness in the mouthfeel and no obvious notice of alcohol. I really like this and will be seeking it out.

On draft at the Odell Brewery - June 2013
A - Yellow golden, tons of clarity. 1/2 a finger of head, and a little lace
A - Big and hoppy, due to the dry hopped process.
T - A big hopy pale ale. Well balanced, tasty!
M - Well carbonated, smooth.
O - Best Pale ale I have had in awhile. Almost - IPA-ish. Get some!
