Great brew look forward to it every late spring . It seems more consistent than the Odell's isolation ale which I also enjoy

I also like the Odell's iPa. These are my go to beers of choice at my neighborhood pub

I also prefer these brews in a very frosted mug pint size which at happy hours is 3.50 per pint

Pours a fairly standard crisp honey colour. Minimal head.

This beer smells really enticing. It's a crisp fresh aroma with resinous and sharp at once. Some fruity hop notes as well, with a bready malt backdrop. Possibly even that touch of pine on the finish.

The taste takes its cues appropriately from the nose. We are greeted initially by a dry piney hop that dances through genres experimenting with fruity citrus notes and a bit of a peppery kick before settling into a juicy/pithy combo at the finish. The malt is less pronounced on the tongue than it is in the nose and takes on more of a biscuit characteristic.

I was looking for a go to pale ale after moving away from the coast and had exceptionally high expectations that this would be it. After my first foray with it this summer, I thought it might fill the role, but it would be a couple of months before I saw it at the shop again. With that six pack I was initially underwhelmed (disappointed is actually a more appropriate term for how I felt), and thought it was back to the drawing board, but about halfway through the magic was recovered. I don't know why it seemed so drastically different to me from the first to the second half of that six pack, but I'm now firmly back in the camp of loving it (thought honestly not as much as I had hoped). This is an excellent pale ale from a brewery I am only now learning to appreciate. Sad it took me this long to discover them, but glad I'm getting to now!!

a clean light orangey-yellow pour with 2 fingers of bright white head, great retention, and excellent lacing. smells of mild fruity and herbal hops, bready malt profile. not getting much there in flavor honestly, a crisp yet sweet malt profile, with light floral/fruity hops, slight citrus hints. medium body, high carbonation, damn well easy to drink pale ale.

it's hard to pick up on certain flavors, but it is a very well balanced pale ale. the hops used are more leaning towards floral/fruity, which work very well with the grains used for the malt. if you're into sweeter pale ales, this is for you. i usually prefer mine with a more hop forward profile, but this is pretty damn good.

Poured from 12. Oz bottle into nonic pint glass
BBD 10/2/13
A - light amber color with small head

S - citrusy, resiny hop aroma balanced by a bready malt smell. Fairly nice and balanced

T - lots of flavoring hops in the taste but, again, not overpowering. A little spicy hop flavor as well. A little saltine like flavor with the malt side and some caramel malts slide down the back end.

M - medium mouthfeel, moderate carbonation.

O - not a bad beer at all but nothing worthwhile as well. A good sipper for a couple

Hazy amber colour, with an off white head. Very small bubbles clinging to the glass throughout.
Citrus hop aroma as expected but not too powerful.
Very nice taste, quite alot of malt. Seems true to what I have read about the style.
Some hops showing through but not to over powering, hints of satsuma, grapefruit and pineapple.
Overall very drinkable but still holds my interest.
