A- Pours a nice murky ruby red color with a 1 finger of off-white head. Not much lacing to speak of.
S- Funky. Little bit of sourness and oak. Definite cherries in the mix. Possibly a bit of raspberries too. Neither aroma is dominating. Very balanced. As it warms, the aromas start meddling a little more towards the cherry side.
T- Fantastic. Sour, sweet, cherry, tart, etc. A lot going in. Some nice oak and vanilla. A bit of funk. Again, nothing dominating, just really nicely balanced. More funk in the nose than in the taste though. I wish it had just a bit more funk. But the cherries are awesome. Always there and as it warms, they stand out even more and bring more sweetness along with it as well.
M- Smooth. Medium body with low carb. Great creamy mouthfeel. Nice tart, and a bit acidic, finish as well.
O- I need more of this for sure. Quite excellent. Well done, Odell!

750ml bottle into Jackie O’s snifter. Thanks Dave!
A: Pours a clear cranberry juice color with super fizzy layer of bubbles that disappeared almost as quickly as I pour. Very active carbonation.
S: Bright notes of cherries and raspberries (and cranberries) dominate the nose. The berries are tart and lightly sweet smelling. Dry oak barrel, lemon-like acidity, and tannic oak and fruit skins mix with the fresh berry tartness. This smells very dry and very puckering.
T: The raspberry seems to come through more than the cherry, but it is there. The oak barrel really shines and it adds a dry, earthy, woodiness to the fruit. I also get hints of lemon and also a mild sweaty funk. In the finish, I get tart berry notes that remind me of cranberries, and fruity flavors in the aftertaste are jam-like and slightly sweet.
M: Medium body with a thicker mouthfeel than I expected given the ample carbonation. The carbonation is soda-like but softer and fuller. Definitely smoother and heavier than I’d of thought. Drinks very well. Not as tart as the nose let on.
O: A clean and easy fruit sour. Fruit/oak flavors complement each other rather than overpower. Thanks again, buffs9!
