Poured in to a tulip with a 1 finger, khaki colored, rocky head. Dark black body. Some good lacing.
Aroma had some great citrus and grapefruit up front with some pleasant roasty notes in the back. Mild maltiness. Some subtle notes or orange as well.
Taste was excellent. Strong hop flavors up front that consisted of floral, citrusy with grapefruit and orange really coming forward. Some moderate sweetness with a great balance of roasted malts. Slight chocolate. Finish is slightly bitter with some piney-ness and more citrusy goodness. Very good. No signs of ABV
Mouthfeel was a bit more than medium bodies. Medium carbonation with a dry finish.
Overall an excellent DIPA that is extremely drinkable at 9.5%. Could easily have a few of these with the excellent balance between bitterness and maltiness.
