12 oz. bottle poured into a Duvel Tulip Style Glass. Hazy golden yellow color. A massive white head erupts after a hard pour, sticks around for a little while. Some lacing, not a ton, but some.
Smell is truly excellent. Big time hoppy, but not too overwhelming. Primarily floral and citrus hops. Orange and tangerine with some citrus zest. A little bit of pine and some sweetness that tickles your nose a little. Almost some honey pine aromas. Reasonable malted, but hops are the dominant feature here.
Taste is also quite excellent. Citrus zest, with some actual citrus, orange, tangerine, and grapefruit; possibly some slight lemon (maybe just zest) as well, but more for bitterness, it's not sour. The last flavor is actually sweet, a sweetness I can't quite put my finger on. Decent malt backbone, but certainly a hoppy beer. Alcohol is masked at 9.3 pretty well. I really like the taste of this beer quite a bit, one of the better Double IPAs I've had in awhile.
Clean crisp and very smooth mouthfeel. I like the balance, obviously more hops that malts like most double IPA's. It's actually lighter bodied than I expected. Good carbonation level and no bite from the alcohol, nice and smooth. All in all a really good double IPA. The perfect summer time beer.
Thank you Chugalug06 for the great Double IPA; I'm starting to become an Odell fan.

Myrcenary Double IPA tasted at Rodeo Goat on tap in Ft Worth, TX.
A: Hazy golden orange, moderate head, fairly creamy, nice laciness after settling.
S: floral, citrus, sl. tropical fruit
T: Citrusy, orange/tropical fruit, sl. piney hops. Amazingly sweet, but in no way overpowering maltiness for balance. Definitely impressed.
M/B: Medium body, a bit creamy, very well balanced beer.
Overall: Easily one of the best double IPAs I've ever had. Highly recommend and will be consumed whenever possible.

Have had a few times since landing in Houston. Most recently from a growler purchased from Premium Draught.
A: Pours a vibrant copper/orange color with a touch of haze. A two finger creamy white head rises, with good retention initially. That eventually recedes to a ring with plenty of lace.
S: Citrus, orange rind, piny hops. Some malty sweetness for balance. That is about it, I am really not getting much.
T: Well balanced with citrus, orange, and piny hops with the biscuit and sweet malts. A slightly bitter finish, but overall not much lingers. The balance is nice, but fairly simple. Not a bad thing at all.
M/D: A medium body with moderate carbonation. Actually seems a bit thin and watery for me. Well balanced, and not much alcohol presents, so this is pretty easy to put back.
Not bad at all. I will enjoy the rest of the growler, and really like the balance here. Though I feel there are better version of the style sitting on the shelves. Double Jack and Endeavor to name two.
