Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle into a standard clear pint glass.
Appearance: Slightly hazy pale golden color. Two finger white foamy head that left nice sticky lacing as it receded. Nice thin white foam cap throughout.
Smell: Wow! Very floral and fruity. Grapefruit, Peach and Apple with a nice sweetness beneath it. A very nice smelling hopped up ale.
Taste: Much like it smelled, floral hops up front and lots of them. Grapefruit and pine flavors right up front with a hop bitterness that gives way to a slightly sweet finish with little lingering bitterness. A very smooth beer for one that's hopped so much. A slight warming from the alcohol on the first couple sips, but no overpowering alcohol taste. Impressive flavor and smoothness for a beer with high IBU and ABV numbers.
Mouth Feel: Light-to-Medium bodied with a little hops bitterness up front, followed by a smooth and slightly sweet finish. Nice.
Drinkability: Very flavorful and easy to drink. Quite a feat for Double IPA like this. The high ABV might make it one to session with cautiously, but it's definitely a beer that will leave you wanting another...and another...

Myrcenary Double IPA tasted at Rodeo Goat on tap in Ft Worth, TX.
A: Hazy golden orange, moderate head, fairly creamy, nice laciness after settling.
S: floral, citrus, sl. tropical fruit
T: Citrusy, orange/tropical fruit, sl. piney hops. Amazingly sweet, but in no way overpowering maltiness for balance. Definitely impressed.
M/B: Medium body, a bit creamy, very well balanced beer.
Overall: Easily one of the best double IPAs I've ever had. Highly recommend and will be consumed whenever possible.

Have had a few times since landing in Houston. Most recently from a growler purchased from Premium Draught.
A: Pours a vibrant copper/orange color with a touch of haze. A two finger creamy white head rises, with good retention initially. That eventually recedes to a ring with plenty of lace.
S: Citrus, orange rind, piny hops. Some malty sweetness for balance. That is about it, I am really not getting much.
T: Well balanced with citrus, orange, and piny hops with the biscuit and sweet malts. A slightly bitter finish, but overall not much lingers. The balance is nice, but fairly simple. Not a bad thing at all.
M/D: A medium body with moderate carbonation. Actually seems a bit thin and watery for me. Well balanced, and not much alcohol presents, so this is pretty easy to put back.
Not bad at all. I will enjoy the rest of the growler, and really like the balance here. Though I feel there are better version of the style sitting on the shelves. Double Jack and Endeavor to name two.
