No dating on the bottle. Poured into a Duvel tulip. Light orange body with slight amount of haze. Creamy one-finger head that leaves some decent lacing down the glass.
Aroma jumps out with grapefruit, pineapple and mango notes. A touch of sweet, bready malt in the background, but the fruity, citrus hops are dominant.
The flavors definitely follow the aroma. Sweet citrus is more dominant in the flavor than the more bitter tastes like grapefruit, which is still present nonetheless. A little caramel malt blends in to round out a fairly balanced DIPA flavor.
Medium mouthfeel and the obvious oily hop presence. No substantial notice of the alcohol adds to the drinkability. A liitle sweet overall for a DIPA for my tastes, but still a very solid offering.
