Poured into a becker. I got a minimal amount of head but it's producing nice lacing as I drink it. It's way lighter in color than your average dipa. This, however, is not a debit because it reveals the spectacle of carbonation unfold. This beer smells hoppy as hell and you are not disappointed at first swig. Sharp bitterness takes hold at first and then mellows out to the malts and grapefruity esters. This almost tastes like the beer equivalent of grapefruits, now that I think about it... the hop acidity lingers on the tongue long after swig.

All in all, this is a very solid double IPA. I wish it was a tad cheaper, but bigger beers require more ingredients, so the cost will be reflected in some way. It's highly drinkable compared to many of it's peers due to it's lighter weight, that is if you have already been conditioned to hoppy beers

Clear and golden. And inch of snow white head, persistent, spotty lacing.

Super juicy smell. Tangerine, orange, a little spivey papaya. Cat piss.

The citrus in the flavor is like over ripe mango. More tangerine with a little pine. Dialed back a touch from what the aroma brought.

Clean mouthfeel. Juicy, mouth watering. Sticky.

A great beer that runs the gamut with all
The dimensions of hops. Very fresh and clean flavor.

look: 3.75 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25

Appearance: Bright rich golden glass has a bit of haze and depth. A razor thin cover of white foam holds and leaves spotty lacing.

Smell: Rich C hops, west coast, citric with a bit of pine. There is a bit of sweetness coming through as well, but it seems like a heavy bitter hop leaf slap is coming.

Taste: First blush is pretty balanced with the sugary crystal malt base mingles with the oily hops, then the hop note starts to grow and overpowers everything. I love hops, but this might be a bit much, it burns a bit in the finish, which invites a cool sip of beer that repeats the cycle.

Mouthfeel: Heavy body feels slick, carbonation is a bit gritty and fine, on the flatter end of the scale.

Overall: Your daily dose of hop oils, for the next week, in one glass. A nice clean base under it too, makes for a real kick in the pants. The one two punch distracts you from the heavy alcohol load it carries, but I'm quickly slowing to small sips which burn my lips slightly. We might need a new category for this one, a Quad IPA. These dials go to 11.
