Poured from a 12oz. bottle into an Odell IPA glass. Beer was a clear orange color, with a one-finger, white head. Soft, lite carbonation and moderate lacing around the glass.
Aroma was hops, apple, pineapple, grapefruit and pine.
Taste was piney hops, some citrus and other tropical fruits, malt and caramel. Balanced and not overpowering.
On the heavier side, but not too thick or syrupy. Alcohol content is pretty well hidden and it goes down fairly easy.
I had been looking forward to this one for awhile and it did not disappoint. Odell makes a nice IPA and it's no surprise that their new DIPA is a solid addition to their lineup. I can see myself picking this up on a regular basis.

A - Huge hop kick in the nose! Amazing bitter and sweet.
T - Perfect well balanced DIPA. A little more sweet than bitter. Incredible taste
M - Medium bodied and well carbonated. Great on the palate
O - As good a DIPA as you will ever find. Clone this one, and pass it around. Well done!
