Thanks to jfstilling for the great extra.
Myrcenary pours a golden orange with a decent half-inch head which quickly dissipates.
Smell of pineapple, graham cracker, and sweet citrus on the nose.
Pineapple carries over into the initial taste. A sweet malt helps balance out the hops. This beer tastes eerily similar to New Glarus' Thumbprint Barleywine.
Overall, a very solid and well balanced DIPA. I'm really glad I got to give this a try!
Update as of 11-22-13
Traveled out to CO and had this beer on tap at Lucky Pie. Even better than I remembered, truly world class. Bumped up the taste from a 4 to a 4.25.
