Pours a rather hazy golden orange color with 1/2 an inch of fizzy head that disappeared surprisingly quickly.

Aroma is dominated by the wheat. There's no messing around with this one: it smells like what it boasts. I also get a tad bit of oatmeal and some citrus.

Taste is super refreshing. It's extremely creamy with just the right amount of carbonation. This beer is clean and crisp. It's just about the perfect sessionable beer. The flavor is by no means complex, with wheat and only a kiss of citrus being the major flavor descriptors. There is no hoppiness and no bitterness to speak of.

Overall, this is a great example of a classic American wheat beer. It's all about the wheat, and it has such a great mouthfeel with fantastic flavor development despite the low ABV. I see this pairing well a corned beef sandwich with a side of bacon sauerkraut. It gets a 85/100.

Aroma is wheat/strong hint of wheat bread and spices. The flavor is wheat/wheat bread, citrus, very light hops, spices, medium body and a mildly tart finish.

Poured from a bottle with a best by date of 10/15/15; into a pint glass.
Appearance - straw yellow, cloudy, but with easily detected bubbles building a thick, creamy, eggshell white head! Lacing is decent.
Smell - yeast, pale malts and a hint of banana.
Taste - whole grain cereal, honey, shredded wheat. Not picking up much fruit flavors, maybe a hint of orange that gives this a refreshing touch.
Feel - very light, slightly creamy; smooth, refreshing finish.
Overall - I think this would be nice to knock back at a tailgate party or at lunch after spring skiing, but my overall impression is...meh.

Sort of a cross between a American wheat beer and a hefeweizen. The label on the bottle encourages the swirling of the bottle to get the yeast in the beer. But the result is sort of an underwhelming hefeweizen. The flavors from the yeast just are not strong enough for my liking. The flavors are nice however and it is a very easy drinking beer. The result is much better than most American wheat ales.

Pours hazy gold with a 1/2 finger white head, with good retention and lacing. the aroma has lemon, wheat, yeast, and bread.

Tastes just like it smells, with a little bitterness from the lemon.

Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth and easy to drink. I can see drinking this on warm summer days like today.

F: Creamy, medium body, slightly above average carbonation.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a chalice. Enjoy by date of 9/4/15.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy yellowish orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. Solid finger of white head which slowly settles into a thin creamy layer.

Smell: A fruity and bready wheat driven aroma with hints of grains and citrus fruit. Big upfront scent of wheat with bready hints of grains, straw, biscuit, and cracker. Citrus fruit hints of orange and lemon zest. Slight hints of coriander and clove along with some light hops. A very solid aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a bready, fruity, and crisp wheat driven taste with notes of grains and citrus fruit. Bready upfront presence of wheat with notes of grains, cereal, straw, biscuit, and cracker. Zesty citrus fruit notes of orange, lemon, and pineapple. Light spice notes of coriander and clove. Also some subtle grassy hops. A very good wheat taste.

Mouthfeel: Light bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Crisp, creamy, and very smooth.

Overall: A very good take on a Wheat Ale. Good crisp bready wheat notes with some nice citrus tones.

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into large tuliped glass.

Appearance: Very cloudy yellow with good sized white head and light lacing.

Smell: Mostly wheat, stronger aroma than many for the style.

Taste: Primarily wheat upfront, with bread, cracker and apple. Finishes with light touches of citrus and pepper.

Feel: Light to medium body with ample carbonation. Mostly dry finish. Very crisp.

Overall: For the old school American Wheat beers, or what used to be incorrectly called Hefeweizens, this is by far the best I have had.

Not bad but not the best wheat beer I have ever had. Has an odd off putting flavor I do not care for. Not really sure what it is, but it's not pleasant. Kind of a funky staleness.

Would not purchase again, there are better options out there.

For a style of beer that I almost entirely avoid, I can drink 10 of them without complaining...

Wheat beer does some weird shit to my palate, but this one doesn't gross me out. Therefore, it is the best wheat beer ever.

Poured from a bottle into a shaker pint, the beer is a hazy, dark, orange-brown coloring, with a filmy, bubbly, white head. Nose of toasted grains, subtle citrus notes of tangerine, and hints of caramel. Flavors are citrus and candy sweet forward, with a toasted grain backbone. Highlights of tangerine throughout. Light, effervesced body, with a citrusy and grainy aftertaste. Smooth, light, crisp finish.

I'm just not a wheat beer guy, but this one was pretty good. Odell can pretty much do no wrong as far as I'm concerned, and they make this a good representation of the style. This is one of their most popular beers and I can see why.

Excited to try this because I really like Odell Brewery.

Serving Style : 12 oz glass bottle, poured for appearance.

Appearance (4) : Beautiful honey colored body with a thick, fluffy three finger head. It recedes very slowly to a two finger head much like a sunset on a summer night.

Smell (4.25) : The aromas are all there. Lots of spice. Spiced hops, candied orange, and fresh wheat dominate the beer. Faint pinch of alcohol. A tiny touch of blueberry. Wheat beer in general is simple - and that's what this smells like. There's nothing I'd add or take away.

Taste (4) : This beer is fantastic. So rich, smooth, "warm". Very bold flavors. Woody. Heavy orange and lemon peel. Spice, hops, some light coffee bean. Faint blueberry. Slight fruity and metallic bitterness at the end that dissipates into a bready finish.

One negative I'd have to say are that it's heavy on the citrus peel, and is a little tinny, which can be a little distracting from the overall wheat bread taste. It's a commonality of the style though, so I won't penalize the beer too much.

Mouthfeel (3.5) : Creamy, medium bodied, small bit of carbonation. Finishes dry on the palate with a quasi-syrup feel. Like pancakes in the morning. Refreshing. I do wish it had a yeastier finish, that would knock the score up at least a point.

Overall (3.83) : If someone shows up to your house with a six pack of Easy Street, you know you have a buddy for life. This person/persons knows beer, and you should be grateful for that. This is a good wheat beer - impressive even, and when a beer makes you say "mmmm", you know it's grand. Of course I'll never deny myself a wheat beer unless it's truly horrible - it's hard for me to knock any beer of that style. I'd say Easy Street comes up above average in wheat beers overall.

Sampling right now on 7/17/14. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F and poured into a tulip glass.

Pours a cloudy gold in color with a good 1-finger white head that settles down to just a small amount around the sides of the glass. Spotty lacing is seen with even a ring or two actually at first. The aroma is of wheat and grains. The taste is about the same with a good amount of wheat coming through. This is a good wheat that gets better with each sip even. Clean and crisp. No bitter or harsh aftertaste at all. Perfect carbonation. A tasty wheat beer overall

Appearance: pours with a less than 1" off white sudsy head which recedes slowly. Lacing is very slight. Color is a very cloudy gold. Lots of sedimentation in suspension (with more yeast ’chunks’ stuck in the bottom of the bottle)
Aroma: grassy wheat is the dominate smell, but there is also some malt sweetness, and clean water.
Mouthfeel: light, watery and fairly crisp. The beer is somewhat sticky and adheres to the roof of the mouth.
Flavor: sweet barley malts and grassy wheat are nicely balanced. Hop presence is quite mild but there is a slight bitterness lingering in the finish.
Overall: a nice example of the style. This a pleasant and refreshing beer, especially on a hot summer day.

App: Very nice sunflower golden color. Hazy, but not cloudy with a pale white head with good lacing and retention. Very active effervescence that helps maintain.
Smell: Very pleasant wheat skunkiness and pungent, flower like sweetness. Slight orange notes. Much like a breakfast cereal.
Taste: Light breadiness, slight sweet yeastiness in the background. Very drinkable. Not a lot going on, but what is there is very well balanced. Not as many esters as a true heffeweizen, but has a great balance of sweet, tart, and that special skunk that only wheat beers are privy to.
Mouth: Very smooth, perfect carbonation. Lingering tartness.

Out of a bottle at Old Chicago, Omaha, NE.

Straight up, Easy street ain't Gumballhead "status", but it's still pretty smooth. Like, Raul's Persian girlfriend in high school after she got waxed "pretty smooth."

So, yeah... like said hoochie, Raul still wouldn't mind going back for another romp or two, but Raul ain't trippin too hard.

A- Cloudy dark golden with a 2 finger white head. Fair retention and moderate lacing.

S- sweet citrus with lemon, pears, and peaches, as well as wheat barley. Topped off with some musky yeast notes.

T- Similar to nose, but slightly more enhanced. Solid hop character for the style and a delightful peppery spice at the end. Has some solid flavor for the abv. Really enjoy the balance of this one.

M- Refreshing and sessionable like you would prefer from a summer brew. Light body bordering on mid. Clean and crisp.

O- I liked this beer. I picked up a sixer on the way to do some tailgating and it really filled the need well. Hot day, long day of drinking, with a lot of flavor.

Appearance: She poured beautifully into a glass. 45 degree tilt for the first 60%, then aggressively at 90 for the last 30% of the pour. Once in a glass, this beers true colors were able to shine. Light, golden, with a hint of cloudy yellow. The head was egg white in color and full in shape.

Smell: Very light and crisp. The sent of wheat is apparent with a touch of citrus.

Taste: My mouth was met with a delicate sweetness derived from wheat and malt flavors. Taste was very consistent throughout; very light and refreshing. Enjoyed it to the last gulp. Left a gorgeous lace.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, crisp, and soft. That first sip, when the beer breaks the head, is flawless.

Overall: Top tier wheat beer. Elegant and straight forward, I loved it. Odell done good

Appearance: Poured a perfect, light, cloudy yellow hinge with a standard white head that built off around the edges and retained a fine cap.

Smell: Not too strong, not too light. A malty wheat prevails with subtle citrus tones.

Taste: The beginning was sweet with slight malt hints, but softly resonated the wheat; the middle dipped down into a mysterious sweetness, still encompassing the wheat tones; the end climaxed the wheat perfectly.

Mouthfeel: Perfect carbonation, very lightly creamy, but I loved it.

Overall: My favorite wheat brew to date. Easy going, Easy Street (to be specific.)

I took a chance and had a bottle of Easy Street with dinner tonight at Circle 7 in Ballwin, Missouri. Poured a pale golden with standard head and lacing. A very drinkable beer; however I was struck by the complete lack of body. The start and finish is clean and light, but nothing in between. I can see this as a session beer in hot weather, easy drinking and refreshing, but I don't think I'll seek it out.

Another bottle from the family trip to Missouri; glad to be seeing some Odell again.

A little over two months before the best-by date (“7/19/13A”).

A: Color is a pale, slightly hazy gold, with a mound of crisp white foam on top; typical for the style. Spotty retention and little circles of lacing here and there.

S: A fruity, spicy aroma that’s undeniably wheat, notes of sweet lemonade, clove, coriander, and juicy orange peel. Quite aromatic, and very pleasing. Estery yeasts (in the form of fresh banana) and husky grain fill the nose to the edges with wheat beer charm.

T: Unlike the nose, there’s not that much to the palate. Hints of lemon, orange, and a little clove blow through on a wave of timid, earthy graininess without so much as an extended greeting before they depart; in essence, it’s a clean, easy-drinking wheat with a very mild taste. Good to see some hops on the back, though, drying the finish to a respectable, slightly-astringent leafiness (keeps it from being too one-dimensional).

M: Very, VERY light, almost offensively so. The more I drink, though, the more I enjoy the texture in my glass – a slow-building frothiness eventually sets this one as “palatable.”

O: An oddly small beer that grew on me over time. That first sip, though – now that was a little too light for my tastes. Allow this one to warm up a little, allowing the grainy wheat notes to overtake what little bitters stick out when it’s chilled. In all, I think I can say that I like it for what it is compared to what it’s supposed to be, but nothing more.
