12oz bottle purchased at Pilgrims in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, for $1.69. According to the label, this is best by September 19th of this year.
Poured a chill-hazed amber color, with a big, fluffy off-white head that left lots of lace.
Malty in the nose. Initially, I couldn’t make out much of a hop presence at all.
Eventually, as things warmed up, I could smell a mild, floral hop scent.
Mostly malty tasting as well. There’s a little bit of hop bitterness that provides a little contrast, but not much else.
Medium bodied, with a slightly creamy mouthfeel.
A decent, malty beer, probably a good choice for someone that does not like hops. Being a bit of a hophead, I found it a little boring.
