Had on draft at Anton's, Waite Park, MN
A: thick, bushy head; dark cola color; decent lacing
S: malty, caramel aroma
T: sweet, dark roast; lightly hopped; clear, nice upper-note flavors; caramel, whorehound, pepper; malt comes through well

This is a good, solid dinner beer.

From the 12 fl. oz bottle stamped 8/29/128. Sampled on July 27, 2012. It pours a handsome looking medium amber with a moderate, foamy, soapy head that leaves a good supply of lacing.
The aroma is of sweet pale malts, raisins, yeast, and some clean hops.
The body was in the medium range.
The taste was upfront sweet and malty with a delayed but lingering hop bitterness on the end. A likable beer.
