Pours a nice red, with a hint or orange. Forms about an inch of a tan colored head.
Smells very malty, and with the yeast, reminds me a bit of the smell of fresh baked bread.
Starts out very malty, with a sweetness that is just right, not overdone. There is a bit of a hop bite there, which adds a bit of spice to it. Has a bit of pepper overlaying the malt. Nice mix of flavors here.
The feel is very nice and full, better than I expected.
This is a very flavorful beer which goes down easy. I picked up this bottle while on vacation, and glad I gave it a try. Very nice beer.

I have enjoyed reading about this style and the the history behind it relating to the taxation of how heavy the beer was. Looking forward to trying this.
Bottle best by 5/1/12. Poured into a pint glass.
A- Pours a nice deep amber color with lots of frothy off white head that leaves nice lacing on the glass.
S- Bready. Lots of caramel malts. Very mild hop aroma.
T- Nicely balanced. The malt sweetness is not overpowering, balanced with some mild herbal hops. The bready flavor is enjoyable like freshly baked warm wheat bread.
M- Pleasant medium body, not overly carbonated. Slight dry finish.
O- A solid offering from Odell. Really enjoyed this.
