Enjoyed in a tulip during Odell’s tap takeover at Flanny's. This Belgian golden strong was brewed in collaboration with the Flanny’s owners, and this is supposedly one of the only kegs available outside of Fort Collins.
Hazy gold, with a half-inch of frothy white that becomes a silky top layer. The thick ring sticks around for a long time.
Subtle nose. Banana, wheat, a touch of clove and very, very slight orange juice.
Tastes like a fairly standard Belgian pale ale, though with more banana. Lots of nanners, wheat, much more clove, a little white cracker, alcohol and a hint of citrus. Sweetish, with smooth integration.
Medium-light body has soft carbonation and a fair amount of fizz. No alcohol; lingering sweetness.
Mellow is a good word for this brew. The flavor’s decent, but a little one-dimensional.
Serving type: on-tap
