On tap at Odell, this is a collaboration with Mountain Sun. Appearance gets dinged because it was slightly brown at the edges, I expect imperial stouts to be black. Aroma was this really great coffee aroma, I wonder what they used? Flavor was not quite as good with a much more subtle coffee aspect. Also, I couldn't really detect the Belgian yeast. Overall a much better sniffer than sipper. It also felt just a touch too thin.

This one is billed as a Belgian style Russian imperial stout with cold-pressed coffee added. The appearance is dark with moderate visual weight. Nose is chock full of freshly brewed coffee. Not really getting a whole lot else on the aroma, pretty nice coffee aroma, just very one note. Taste is about the same, cold robust coffee with a touch of chocolate and a hint of roasted malt. Otherwise, not getting much from the base beer. Mouthfeel is light with moderate carbonation. Overall, a one note brew with a nice coffee character, but no ris body to hold it up.
