Poured out of a 750 mL bottle into a small (8 oz) beer snifter style glass.
Appearance - An orange haze with the appearance of dried apricot flesh, and highlights of burnt sienna. Head is creamy and faint khaki with solid retention and ample lacing. A beautiful looking beer.
Smell - Juicy, wet, and with some undertone of hoppiness. The peach is definitely in the forefront and supported with some citrus. However, all of it seems muted. Was hoping for a big, intoxicating aroma, but it's just not full enough.
Taste - I actually really like the taste. Fulfills the juicy promise of the smell, but the peach flavor doesn't overwhelm, as I can detect some characteristics of hops, grain and yeast along with the fruit. It seems pretty balanced. Some sweetness, but the finish brings out that hop bitterness. A pleasant lingering of peach on the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Syrupy, lingering and pleasant. Carbonation is a nice counterpoint to the viscous nature imparted by the pureed peaches
Overall, a very pleasing beer. The peach does a good job of masking the 9.7% ABV, and makes this an immensely drinkable beer. Would love to see Odell continue to rotate this one seasonally.

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Imperial Pint.
Appearance: Extremely cloudy orangish-yellow with huge, foamy white head. Love the root beer float head, but had to dock a little for the color looking a little like juice.
Smell: Peach, grapefruit, orange, pine and toasted malt. Surprisngly subtle.
Taste: Tastes more subtle than expected too. For some reason, the malts are a little Pilsner-like, which isn't the best backbone for this. On top of the odd malt backing is peaches, grapefruit and orange. Sickenly sweet as well. Finish has some light pine and light bitterness.
Feel: Very creamy with low carbonation. Finish is not as dry as expected, and the whole thing is a little purée-like.
Overall: I love Odell, but this is a disappointment in almost every way.

Corked and caged 750 ml bottle served chilled into a pint glass.
Tree Shaker is a very hazy pale golden yellow color with thick white head. It has good retention and sticks to the glass as it settles.
Aroma is both hoppy and peachy in equal measure. A nice combination of citrusy hops and fresh juicy peach.
Flavor is unfortunately much less successful. It tastes like a bitter peach or even a grapefruit. The hops overwhelm the more subtle flavors of the peach. This would probably work much better as a standard IPA along the lines of Magic Hat's #9 if they just toned down the hops.
Mouthfeel is medium-light in body and a little overly carbonated.
Overall not a bad beer but a disappointment given the high price. At least it has a nice label.

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.
Appearance - Hazy orange body with a decent white head. Good retention. Nice lacing.
Smell - Pine hop. Some stone fruit. A bit of grapefruit. Pale malt.
Taste - More stone fruit than the nose. Tropical fruit hop. Pale malt sweetness. A weird flavor in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Doesn't drink like a double IPA. Lighter than expected. Well carbonated.
Overall - Peach is tough, especially in an IPA. Decent though.

This sounds like an odd combination, let's see how it works...
Pours an effervescent& hazed apricot with 4 fingers of fluffy pearl colored head. Never really clears up, great head retention & lacing
S: Grassy, some citric notes, not exactly hops on parade
T: Peach, pineapple & touch of boozey grapefruit up front, & some grassyness. Pineapple dominates as this warms, some peach & pear with a little pine lurking in the background. Finishes with pineapple & ruby red grapefruit, plus breadyness
MF: Fairly chewy, slight carbonation, good balance
Interesting, not a taste combination made in Heaven, but drinks easy enough. Not sure I'd buy it again, especially if any Myrcenary is on the shelf...
