Notes/Commercial Description:
You know those epic days that start with an idea, turn into a dare and end with a great story to tell? This is the beer for those days. Crisp and refreshing like any respectable session ale, but a bit more hop-forward and flavorful than some. Perfect for going with the flow.

A: Pours a clear golden/yellow color. A two finger egg white head rises with good retention, and rings of spiderweb looking lace stick all the way down the glass.
S: Perfume like hops up front. Grassy, floral, herbal and zesty orange rind like. Dry cracker, and biscuit malts finish everything off. Really enjoying the nose.
T: A great balance of grassy, floral, and herbal hops with the malt character. Dry crackers, light cereal grains, and biscuit. Simple, but excellent.
M/D: A light body, with moderate carbonation. I wish this had just a bit more effervescent bite, not bad in that department though. Very clean with a nice dryness as well. So easy and enjoyable to drink. I will be going through plenty of this during the summer, but enough character that I can enjoy it any time.

Yeah, this is a great blonde ale. Perfectly simple with a load of character, and does not play down to peoples tastes just cause it is suppose to be light. This should have a much higher score here.

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass.

A - Pours a nice clear bright straw color with a finger of white head that dissipates fairly rapidly.

S - Not a strong aroma, but I detect piney hops and a bit of sweetness.

T - Piney hops and some sweetness with a little bit of lemon. The flavor is not very complex, which is to be expected with a session ale, but it is solid. Not very bitter, but the hop flavor is great.

M - Thin body with moderate carbonation that is a bit prickly. Not much aftertaste.

O - This is one of the best session ales I've had. Nothing is overpowering, yet it has a great full flavor that doesn't get old.

Poured into an Odell shaker pint glass.

Look: Clear golden color with slowly rising bubbles. A white head recedes to a light cirrus cloud wisp. Wet foamy lacing appears on the glass.

Aroma: A malty sweetness gives way to a slight hop note.

Taste: Sweet malty beginning leads to a lemongrass body. A perfect hop finish to add great balance.

Mouthfeel: Smooth and almost buttery.

Overall: A very tasty session beer, great for spring and summer.

From a 355 ml bottle (dated July 25, 2014) into a tulip.

A-A normal to aggressive pour produces about two fingers of dense, nearly white foam. The retention is pretty good at more than two minutes and the head leaves clingy lacing on the glass. The beer is very, very light-golden in color and clear. I see exactly two bubbles of carbonation.

A-The aroma is hop forward for a blond with an inviting, citrusy, floral aroma. The is just a bit of sweetness and bread from the malts. It isn't earth-shattering or complex, but it smells refreshing and less cloying that many blond ales.

T-The taste, like the smell, is pretty heavy on the hops, but there is more balance from the malt base. I get some crisp, zesty citrus (lemon mostly), some mint, and a bit of bread and toast. The finish is drying and gives a bit of husk and grass flavor.

M-The feel is light to medium in heft with an oddly creamy bit of carbonation. The carbonation is very smooth and makes this beer quite easy to drink, but strange on the palate.

O-The flavor profile and weird mouthfeel make this one of the most drinkable beers I have tried in a long while. It is not terribly complex -- and despite the heavier hops, it certainly will not overpower -- but I'm pretty sure that is the point here. This beer is almost thirst-quenching in flavor and I may have to revisit this in the heat of the summer.
