Stop number two on our Ft. Collins beer tours.

Cute country inn-esque type building. As you walk in the front door you're met with a queue, which is for 'beers to go' patrons. If you've never been here before you wouldn't know that until you inched close enough the see the sign. If you want beer for on premise pleasure, take a step to the next register. Here is where it gets a bit odd: place you order, pay, and walk to the other end of the bar to pick it up. If your table is by the front door be prepared to fight crowds to order, retrieve, and drink your brew.

The bar is set up long-ways with about 15 ft of bar counter between the order and the pick up. Not sure why this is, seems waste of space. But behind the bar are a good number of taps (20 I think) and a cask pull. More the half are the 'normal' beers, with the rest being seasonal or one-off small batches. The place itself is large for a tasting room, about 30 tables and a nice outdoor patio. Again, the ordering system is odd; it may look good on paper, but it just creates a huge bottleneck.
This hurts the service, and so does the dude that took my order--I swear he was stoned. I had to repeat myself several times, then point out the beer on the menu. he was nice, just either pre-occupied or clueless. No matter.

Nice little tour and good to see that they expanded on their "green" usage. A must hit in Fort Collins...perhaps all of Colorado.

My favourite beer while in Fort Collins. Great brewery. Nice patio to sit and have their sampler!

One of the best brewery experiences I've ever had, hands down. This place is awesome. Great atmosphere from the moment you walk through the door. Huge seating area wraps around a giant L-shaped bar in front of you, and the merch station is immediately to your left. You order at the first leg of the L, and then wrap around to the other leg where the servers hook you up. Behind the registers where you ordered, there are bottles and 6ers to go, and you have a ton of growler options as well. They offer a standard flight of their flagships, as well as two separate "pilot" flights of their more fluctuating offerings. You can continue to snake through the building to find more seating throughout, some tables, some bartops, some benches, and some more casual seating, or you can go outside onto an expansive patio setup. Outside, there was a food truck serving some awesome grub. Plenty of seating outdoors, as well as some lawn space if you want to rock it picnic style. They offer tours on a normal schedule. On your way to the bathrooms, there is a tap serving soda, in case you have kids, or a DD, or both. Like I said, this place has it all. I didn't do the tour, because we were there fairly late on a Saturday afternoon, but there was no way I was passing up a visit. This place has been on my list forever. I urge anybody in the area...visit, and visit often!

Very cool place. Love the beer. Usually have interesting food trucks too. Only thing I didn't like was the fact that I couldn't choose my own flight: had to pick from pre-selected flights to go with fancy presentation tasting glass holders.
