I'd been looking forward to the opening of The Fridge for quite some time. It's high time Lancaster had a place with a fine bottle selection of craft brews.

The low-slung building is easily reached from Harrisburg Pike or James Street and is right behind The Arts Hotel.

The seating area is a bit larger than Al's of Hampden and is decorated with framed pictures of old refrigerator advertising; a nice touch. It's a good space.

Everyone was friendly and the service was quick.

The bottle selection was very good and I found some IPAs and DIPAs I'd not tried. I got a six-pack of 12 ozs to go, which comes with a 10% discount over the singles price: 15% if you get 8 bottles. There are also bombers, which seemed pricey to me, so I passed.

There are six taps and each one was a winner. The growler prices are more reasonable than the bombers and I got a growler of Stone Ruination to go.

I had a glass of Smuttynose Homunculus with my Pesto/Pistachio pizza. They seem to specialize in white pizzas. My smallish, thin slice was pretty good. The thin crust wasn't NY crispy style and the toppings were a little skimpy but the price was just $3.00. I guess I would've rather had a big, $5.00, full-meal slice with some marinara sauce.

Overall, I think The Fridge is off to a good start and they will dial in their food, beer selection, number of taps and prices to meet market demand. Definitely glad they are here in my county and I will certainly be returning from time-to-time.

I live about 15 minutes from here and, being a seaon ticket holder for the local baseball team which is across the street from The Fridge, I'm here fairly often during baseball season. There's always something good on tap and there's a great selection of bottles and cans to choose from, too. The prices are a bit steep compared to other bottle shops I've visited and the food is ok but service is very good and the atmosphere is always interesting. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

This is now a staple in Lancaster, and it is a good place to go. We enjoy it occasionally, although it is a little small. The food is always interesting, and the bottle selection is outstanding. The staff is friendly and engaging, and it is definitely worth a visit.

This is the place to go during the summer, fall, winter, or spring because you feel like it's the perfect place no matter what time of the year. I love going to the Fridge in the Fall and winter because of their little coal stove that sits in the back side of the room and the comfy couches and seats that surround it.

I love the pizza when it's freshly made with all natural and organic ingredients. They're so creative and imaginative with their concoctions.

The tap list can be quite impressive at times and sometimes they can get some rare stuff or something great that you can't get anywhere else in the area.

Check out their bottle selection in the fridge and on the opposite wall where near the entrance, I'm sure you'll find a bottle that will sooth the soul.

My favorite thing about this place is that they have a pretty solid, and rotating, selection of Mikkeller products.

Oh by the way, message them on Facebook to check in about certain bottles, they'll respond as quickly as possible with the best customer service.
