This would be a great location for someone to open a Brew Pub that knew how to take care of the paying customer. The Manager has not a clue...the staff/servers are poorly trained at best.
The food is typical for a bar but sub-standard for anything other than some salty munchies. The best thing I can say about the beer is it's wet.

I find myself at the Horny Goat 3-4 times a year, but only when it's warm out. I really can't speak for the indoor portion of this establishment, as I have never been inside. The outside area, however is AWESOME! Volleyball courts, numerous fire pits, riverside seating (albeit the KK river which kind of sucks), and a huge bar that has to seat 50-75 people, and is also enclosed by fully functioning doors which makes it perfect for Wisconsin weather....which varies ridiculously, by the hour.

The reason (and probably the only reason) that I support this establishment is because of it's location on the river...my buddy docks his boat right down the river at Pier Milwaukee, and we always "have to stop for one".

That's about all the highlights for me....when I drink their beer, it's usually in gulps. Flavorless, and sometimes unpalatable, are the best things I can say. And then the service, best I can say....they are young. I asked the bartender on my most recent visit, "what type of beer is the Chocolate Cherry?" as it was labeled on their chalk board. His reply, "It's Chocolate Cherry." He must have saw me roll my eyes, he returned to my spot at the bar and said, "it's kind of a stout". Meh, it tasted like 2 day old Cherry Coke with a TON of melted ice...

Their food is decent, for bar food. Honestly, if you are headed here for the food, you have been misguided.

Cool place to visit, awesome atmosphere....especially cool when visiting via boat. Worth a try once, definitely not a beer destination.

Indoor/Outdoor and large tented area. Beer selection limited to Horny Goat but worth the time to give the beers a try.

Service has always been spot on. Friendly and attentive.

Have to try the Loaded Tots. Brunch is amazingly good with plenty of food and intersting twist on standard breaskfast items.

Gone to many special events and always a good time. Worth the time and plan to have a good time!

Well we finally made it over here for dinner and beers and it pretty much lived up to exactly what I had heard.

The place and it's space is full on amazing. Dual level bar inside. Enormous seating area outside. with indoor and outdoor tables. The bar is house in garage area that has wall to wall fully functioning garage doors. So when it's warm they can all open and when it's cold they can close em. Surrounding the "garage" are backyard style gas fire pits. All with their own sets of chairs for private dining and drinking. All this is set right next to the river so you have the ambiance of flowing water on top of everything else.

Which is why this place is such a travesty. The beer is as bad as it gets. I honestly have to choke down everything on their menu. Talk about a full on chasm between beer and atmosphere. If the beer was even semi drinkable i would be here every night this summer. FML!

The food was decent. Nothing that would blow you away but solid. Especially compared to the abomination they pass for beer.

Overall I may never go back based on the beer alone. Which is sad. Seeing as it's such a great space.
