McGinley's occupies the street level corner of a mid-rise building in downtown Anchorage. Entrance is guarded by a bouncer who carded everyone in our party, even my inlaws.
On a Friday evening, it was fairly crowded, but we were able to find a spot at the high-top tables. The bar occupies one wall, and the rest of the walls are lined with booths, and tables fill the center. Pool table and jukebox in the back. Lighting is dark, decor to fit the Irish pub theme. Live music in the corner.
Beers are a mix of the popular Irish/British beers (Guinness, Bass, Harp, Smithwicks) a few macros, and a decent selection of local (Alaskan, Midnight Sun, Sleeping Lady, etc) and West Coast Craft beer (Stone, Sierra Nevada, Firestone Walker, Widmer, etc).
Menu consisted of standard pub food, but we didn't eat. Drink prices seemed reasonable.
