On tap at Frisco's (from notes 6/19/13)

A: Nice amber with minimal head and lacing.

S: Strong hop presence but with a bit of rye in there that is mellow but firm with interesting pine notes.

T: Nice rye complement to the piney hops. Top notch with a mild pine aftertaste.

M: Decent carbonation with a full body that really carries the flavors.

O: Even and full IPA. Nice execution. One of the few rye IPAs that I have had.

The color of this beer is a light amber with very little cloudiness. IT poured with a quarter inch head and decent lacing against the glass.

The smell is very malt based; brown sugar, molasses and caramel with a hint of spices. A lemon citrus scent is also present.

The taste is a heavy malt consisting of those dark sugars like caramel and molasses. After the sweetness comes the citrus flavor and then a hint of hops.

The mouthfeel is smooth but not light or refreshing. All of the malt and sweetness make it a heavy beer.

Overall it is a very good beer. Very unique in its complexity of malt and citrus. A must have at this brewery!
