Odyssey is a porter infused with nitrogen gas, which creates cascading clouds of tiny bubbles that give way to thick dense foam. This luxurious brew pours a deep earthy brown colour, and features warm roasted flavours accented with hints of nuts and dark chocolate, all wrapped up in velvet smooth textures.

Color is a dark, dark chocolate brown that pours with a nice nitrogen carbonation sheeting that cascade out rather quickly forming a finger or two of light brown colored, thick and creamy head with great retention to it, that leaves only slight lacing.
Aroma is of chocolate malt with a ghostly hints of lacto, and a slightly stale smelling whiff of off-gassing of the nitrogen.
Moderate malt sweetness forward with a smooth, mild tasting, dutch cocoa flavored that pairs well with the nice creamy flavor of the head, some light hints of mocha and a faint hazel nut note.
Finish has a very faint leafy tabaco hop bitterness to it and some light lactic hints that give a very faintly sour aftertaste that builds slightly on the palette gives it a cola like quality to it.
Nice velvety, creamy carbonation with a medium/light and very smooth body, with the head it has a creamy feel however once the head settles out it comes across as a bit watery, gives me the impression of chocolate milk, not very complex but creamy and chocolaty, smooth bodied with out any bitter finish and faint lactic sourness.

L: Pours a thick and fluffy tan head that thins out fairly quickly with little lacing. Very dark brown colour. Fairly thick curtain-like lacing.
S: Very malty with a hint of coffee.
T: Malt grains, just enough sweetness, quite smooth. Not much aftertaste.
F: Nicely full bodied, almost creamy, not oily or soapy. Feels like how this beer looks like it should.
O: An fairly smooth drinking beer, not terribly complicated.

S: Malty
T: Mild, with roasted flavours: coffee, malt.
F: Thin, goes down easy
O: A pretty okay porter, but a bit underwhelming. Nothing to write home about.

473ml can - a nitrogen-gassed porter. I like the new 'fun fact' addendum to the standard side label ramblings.
This beer pours a cascading (though it's hard to really see), very dark brown colour, with eventually one finger of not so puffy, but very finely foamy, and certainly creamy beige head, which leaves a few sightings of blurry Ogopogo lace around the glass as things slowly sink away.
It smells of lightly roasted, and somewhat meaty caramel malt, bittersweet cocoa powder, stale cafe-au-lait, a touch of earthy anise, and plain leafy and floral hop bitters. The taste is bready and faintly doughy caramel malt, a bit of salt water taffy, wan medium milk chocolate, weak artisanal coffee beans, and more very meek earthy, leafy, and weedy hoppiness.
The bubbles are quite understated in their very gentle frothiness, the body a sort of wanting medium weight, and incredibly smooth, with a heady dose of that expected (entitled?) creaminess. It finishes off-dry, the muddled chocolate and milky coffee notes kind of just ambling along, listlessly.
Overall, a well-presented nitro porter, however the follow-through could use a bit of an upgrade - things get thin and hard to really keep a hold on to after a wee spell. I dunno - I'm just not feeling this one, after that sexy opening crack and hiss.

I just love the way nitro beers pour :)
L: Dark dark brown almost to the point of black with a slight brown head that sated the whole time which is good!
S: Roasted malts with a slight bitterness to it.
T: Light milk chocolate and a slight amount of coffee almost no hop feel at all to the beer.
F: Super creamy and smooth such an easy drinker was almost done by time I finished typing this.
O: A pretty great beer but they where releasing this to compete with Mill St. Vanilla Potter they missed there mark.

Phillips Brewing 'Odyssey Nitro Porter' @ 5.0% , served from a 4pack of 473 ml cans purchased for $11
A-pour is a creamy at the start followed by a cola brown as the can empty's , it does the 'Irish' cascade thing and finish's with a big creamy tan head leaving a spotty lace
S-hints of a bitter English porter
T-initial taste similar swallow as 'Longboat'
MF-lots of carbonation , medium body , bitterness lingers
Ov-ok beer & nitro porter
