Yay, pumpkin ale time!

This one's lighter in colour than some I've seen. Light copper. Visible carbonation.

Smells lightly of spice and... sugar? There's definitely some sweetness going on.

Taste is nothing special. I'm not picking up a lot of spice or pumpkin. Fairly sweet, with a weird aftertaste I'm not a fan of.

Feel is smooth. Could be more crisp.

Phillips Brewing 'Crooked Tooth' @ 5.0% served from a 650 ml bottle purchased for $6

A-pour is a pale gold from the bottle to a rich amber/orange in the glass with a small off white head leaving a streaky lace along the pint

S-smells more of cooked pumpkin's than pumpkin pie , butt there is a lot of cinnamon thru-out

T-crisp and clean , smooth going down , especially after trying Crooked'er Tooth

MF-ok carbonation , mellow medium body

Ov-ok beer , not Victoria's best Pumpkin Ale , butt a decent brew

Pours a golden color with a finger of pale white head that retains. Doesn't seem to be leaving much lacing. A bit surprised as most pumpkin ales I find are usually more on the darker color side.

Slight floral pumpkin notes back strong aroma of spices: nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger. Nice smell.

Bit of pumpkin notes flow from start to end, a bit of roasted malts taste, and some spices. Hints of nutmeg, cinnamon, and ginger. Little bitterness. Slight sweet caramel-like flavor to it. Subtle flavors. Very, very nice.

Medium body, and feels right for the style. Unfortunately the carbonation was a little bit too much.

A very good pumpkin ale by Philips Brewing. A bit too much carbonation present, but had a nice mix of pumpkin and spices. Also the label on the bottle looks amazing.

I've enjoyed every Phillips beer I've ever had so I had high expectations. I got a single 650 mL bottle in northern BC.

It poured with a moderate amount of off-white head. The body is hazy and orange. The aroma is mostly of pumpkin and nutmeg with a small amount of maltiness or yeast in the background. The taste is also mostly of pumpkin and nutmeg but there is also cinnamon and hops in there. This has more pumpkin taste than I've previously had in other pumpkin ales. I find it oddly smooth and refreshing. There is a medium body and perfect carbonation.

Overall, it has the quality I have come to expect from Phillips. It is not overloaded with spices like some other pumpkin ales. It tastes like a genuine pumpkin ale.
