A Belgian wheat beer brewed with a touch of rye and a massive addition (over 1,000 lbs. per 40-barrel batch) of plump, ripe blackberries grown by Agriberry in Hanover County, Hardywood Virginia Blackberry offers an assertive fruit character while remaining extremely refreshing. Ruby hued with the bright aroma of fresh bramble berries, this beer’s pleasantly gentle body leads to a rather dry, rounded fruit finish, making it irresistible on a hot summer day.

From a can into a draught glass. Body had a quickly receding white foam head with a pale blood orange body that had some particulate and effervescence. Scent more-or-less matches expectations - a bit of blackberry and a nice dash of spice (coriander?) that is common in white ales. Taste is a spot on blend of the spice/cut of a white ale but balanced with a smoothness and acidity of the blackberry. Feel is smooth, medium bodied (bordering on chewy at times) with an absolutely delightful spiced blackberry aftertaste. Overall an extremely drinkable beer that surprises in blending two things together that I wasn't expecting to work so well.

Look: It pours cloudy orange with an off white head.
Smell: It has some Belgian funk up front with blackberries, dough, and a bit of spice in the aroma. There is a light orange note as well.
Taste: It has dough and some earthly elements with blackberries. There are some low sour notes with a bit of spice and orange.
Feel: It has a medium body with light alcohol warming and a somewhat dry finish.
Overall, it has balanced citrus and spice element that combines well with the Belgian yeast.

16ounce can poured into a tulip.
Canned 7/1/21.
Hazy with sediment, light amber with a pink-orange hue, one finger of bright white persistent foam, leaves lace. Fairly strong nose, Belgian yeast, fruit/berries and a pastry-like bread malt aroma. Tasting yeast, wheat, spice and a touch of berry though a lot less than expected. It is a bit tart with a clean finish. Mouthfeel is dry, crisp, light and effervescent. Easy to drink but just OK overall.

Pale pinkish-tan color (looks like red grapefruit juice) with plenty of sediment and a frothy cream head. Nose is yeasty and fruity (citrus, berry). Taste follows--Belgian yeast, wheat, with somewhat tart blackberry. Light-medium body (a tad watery), slightly astringent from the sourness and a bit warm from the alcohol. Overall it's tasty, well balanced, and pretty easy -drinking, but perhaps a bit underdeveloped. Definitely not dominated by the namesake fruit like a lot of fruit beers I have tried are. It's more a typical witbier with blackberries.

I enjoyed this beer. Poured into a pint glass, it was a fairly clear dark gold color with a small, creamy white head and some lacing. Head retention is pretty good. Aroma is belgian yeast, blackberries and wheat. Taste is pretty much the same. I didn't get any rye presence here. The taste is good, like a good witbier with fruit added. Mouthfeel is light, tart with a little wheat bitterness to counter the sweet fruit. The tartness makes this a sipper rather than a lawnmower beer/guzzler. Still a nice light feeling beer for the summer time.

Pours a slightly hazy, light yellow-orange with a white head that fades to a little lacing. Smell is blackberries, yeast, coriander. Taste is coriander, wheat, hint of fruit, slightly tart. Lighter body, moderate carbonation. Overall, eh, reminds me of a gose without the saltiness, not much in the way of blackberry flavor. Not offensive but nothing much otherwise to it.

16.9 oz bottle poured into Kane beer glasss.
L: Small white head, not much retention, leaves a thin ring and partial cap. Beer is a mostly clear light copper.
S: Blackberries, coriander, yeast, light malts.
T: More or less follows nose, though decidedly less fruity than you might expect. Almost Gose-like, but no salinity. Neutral finish. OK, but flavor just not there.
F: Light bodied, moderate carbonation. Balance is decent, refreshing to drink. Construction is OK.
O: It's a decent fruited witbier, just not enough flavor.

From the bottle, it pours a hazy orangey-reddish amber with a modest, somewhat long lasting head. Light scent, although it could be my nose today. Very light flavor, not bitter at all, with a touch of fruitiness. Pleasant, easy to drink beer!

Interesting look of brownish orange and hazy or at least not see through. My bottle pour had zero head. The nose has a Belgian? Type scent with some berries sitting on top. Somewhat light and Belgian in flavor with a berry edge (almost sweet tart like) with less sweetness and a zippy champagne carbonation. It took me a few swigs to decide if I liked it but I decided it’s pretty decently flavored with a nice feel.
