A: Hazy amber pour. Big fluffy tan head that fizzes away very quickly. Soap bubble-like head. Zero lacing. Looks still afterwards.

S: Really sweet grains. Almost like corn syrup somehow. A bit of orange and banana?

T: Sweet orange and some...coriander? Wheat shows up in the finish but there is a sickly syrupy sweet layer of orange over everything. Mildly dry finish oddly enough, despite the sweetness.

M: Medium bodied and smooth.

O: Hmph. Wasn't feeling this one. It's a really sweet and orangy witbier-esque brew, it actually reminds me heavily of shock top. That's not a good thing. Not terrible but not great either. Makes me wonder if it isn't old - but there's no date so who knows.

cloudy orange pour with a finger of head which quickly dissipated. smells of bready pilsner malts, citrusy orange, coriander - pretty standard witbier. this reminds me pretty much of hoeegarden.. the flavor is bready, slightly sweet, with mostly the orangey citrus flavor.. and a slight hint of coriander. light/medium body with high carbonation.

this is probably the most unimpressive beer i've had from karbach. it IS refreshing at least, so that's a plus for this hot weather.

Karbach Weisse Versa Wheat has a thick, creamy, off-white head and a very bold, golden appearance, with relatively large brown chunks and relatively tiny white chunks suspended throughout the beer. There are lots of tight bubble streams and decent lacing. The aroma is of banana pudding, white bread, and powdered sugar. Taste is of coriander, slight banana, and Sunbeam brand white bread, with some background bread crust and underlying, yet faint, banana notes. Mouthfeel is watery and slick, and Karbach Weisse Versa finishes mostly dry, refreshing, and easily drinkable. Overall, for a wheat, this is a winner. Yum!

A: poured into a weizen glass to a cloudy golden orange with a small white head that fades quickly
S: smells of bananas, orange, wheat and coriander
T: creamy wheat, spice, slight orange, some banana and honey like sweetness. swallow is more spice a bit more banana and wheat
M: light in the mouth with soft and slightly prickly carbonation, somewhat refreshing finish
O: pretty good, nice flavors and a decent complexity without any serious faults. easy drinking and won't wreck the palate.

Extra from a trade with dcloeren. Can poured into a shaker pint.

Appearance - Nice, hazy gold color that's representative of the style. It's completely opaque and pours with a decent head that dissipates quickly.

Smell - Banana and clove: very typical of German yeast.

Taste - A bit weak. There's some banana and clove, but not nearly as much body as one would expect from a German style wheat. Just feels a bit empty after the initial banana hit.

Mouthfeel - Lots of carbonation. Some body but not full - none of the silkiness that should be there.

Overall - Just an average easy drinking lawnmower beer. My home brewed wit tastes better IMHO. Probably wouldn't drink again unless it was given to me.
