A "Texas-style IPA" at ~70 IBU and brewed with a combination of American, English and German hops (German Magnum, Chinook, Amarillo, Citra, Simcoe, East Kent Goldings). Dry-hopped too.

Another CAN courtesy of the wondrous JenRay! It is nice to have sources for CANs and I hope that my latest box to her was to her liking.
From the CAN: "Brewed In Texas"; "Please Remain Calm"; "Proudly Brewed In Texas"; "Cuidado [-] He lurks in the shadows, waiting in bold anticipation. He's surprisingly bitter. Bitter about something. Legend has it that he feasts on those with fresh hops coursing through their veins. This dry hopped, Texas IPA has a flavor as defiant as the Hopadillo himself. It's packed with the bracing bitterness of hops from around the world that this creature craves. He's comin' to get ya. You've been warned."
The Crack revealed another brimful craft CAN and so an inverted Glug was in order. The room suddenly smelled heavily of grapefruit and my mouth began to water. My pour resulted in two fingers of rocky, tawny head with decent retention. As I patiently allowed it to fall, sticky lacing began to appear. Color was amber with NE-quality clarity. Mouthfeel was medium with a definite citrus hop bite on the tongue. I liked that they did not saturate the beer with hops to the point that it takes on a grainy quality. It was that intense on the tongue, however. Finish was dry and bitter, just the way I like my AIPAs. Hell, I did not need to be warned about this guy - he and I got along just fine, thank you.

Very very standard fare here....tastes like a sort of decent homebrew that you wish had turned out better..
It's not offensive, perfectly fine to drink...but just oozes mediocrity...
A touch bitter but wish it kicked more...

I had this beer on-tap in a clear plastic cup at the Hubcap Grill at George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
Appearance: dark orange hue with just a hint of haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam.
Smell: sweet malt with a slightly citrusy/herbal hop aroma. Not too bad.
Taste: caramelly malt with a fair bit of sweetness and a decent citrusy hop character. A pretty standard American IPA.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and a pretty good creaminess for the style.
Overall: a perfectly cromulent IPA, if a bit in the old-school model.

On tap at Flying Saucer in DFW Airport in Dallas, TX.
Light caramel look meets light caramel flavors. It’s like a 16 year old brewed a beer. And not a cool 16 year old that listens to My Bloody Valentine - think more so Avril Lavigne.

On tap at Chili's near the hotel in Houston.
Pours a mostly clear deep amber color with a thin off white head that slowly recedes. Bready toasty light caramel maltiness with old school pine and citrus with bits of tropical and earthy notes. Nice.

Can picked up today, but says enjoy by 2022/09/22
Pours a frothy off-white creamy 1 finger head with moderate retention, sticky lacing, clear amber to almost auburn-copper color
Nose bright hops, west coast spicy citrusy hops, quite fruity but at the same time earthy spicy and a bit piney, sweet malts, toasted grainy and a bit sweet caramel,
Taste brings some sweet malt up front, candy notes with caramel, toffee, and fair toasted reddish grain malt, quickly into hops, med to higher bitterness, earthy spicy first quickly into fruity citrusy hops, a bit of pine on the back end, high overall hop profile as well as malts, good balance though, drier slight sweet finish with long lingering spicy piney hop bitterness
Mouth is med bod, a bit rich, med to higher frothy carb
Overall quite nice, reminds me of Troegs Nugget Nectar, in a good way
