12 oz. can poured into pub glass

L -- murky gold, weakish head that disipates quickly ... some lacing. it has the slightest hint of amber, and the head is tannish.

S -- so hoppy. pine forest big time. as you drink it, a malt smell comes in.

T -- if you want hops, you got hops. not a whole lot else, though I swear this beer follows better than it leads ... for some reason, when I drink it after another beer, it tends to taste sweeter, whereas if I drink it by itself, it's almost a hop salad with no dressing.

F -- just fine. good carbonation, medium weight.

O -- for the price, LOVE it. it's a cheap way to get a good hoppy American IPA, and it's made in Texas: a big bonus for us Texans. But I have to admit, it's not incredibly balanced. Can be a bit bitter without much else going for it, so it's not the beer to drink when you're in the mood for malt or esters or something else.

i'll definitely be drinking more of this beer.
