650ml bottle poured into tulip 3/6/14 thanks liamt07 for sending me the bottle
A clear dark amber with a thick stream of bubbles coming off the bottom, a big loose beige head quickly falls to an island leaving a couple partial rings of lace
S caramel apple, wet wood, apple pie spice, pie crust, well it kinda smells like an apple pie, butterscotch comes out, might be diacetyl I'm smelling, brown sugar, and some barrel comes out, JD wouldn't surprise me
T booze comes out a little, spicy hops, lots of caramel apple, lots of wet wood, musty basement, maybe the start of an infection? doesn't taste off but somethings not quite right, I wouldn't age this one if I had second bottle
M leaning towards full, soft carbonation, heat hits my chest and head but fairly smooth on the way down, slick on the palate, herbal notes and caramel apple on the finish
O I feel like there's something in the background holding it back, nothing I can really pin point but I have a feeling time would tell the tale
Decent brew but I think it might be about to take a turn for the worse. Curious of the barrel choice, reminds me of JD, dose "4 barrels" imply 4 different barrel types? either way I'm left a little confused by this one.

C’est What Sawdust City tap over. Malty aroma. Light orange coloured body. A nicely drinkable barleywine, true to the style though nothing unusual or spectacular from getting so many involved. Above average mouthfeel. Let's age one and see what happens.
