Good beer for a lager from a can. Found it in a minks in Marietta GA so decided to buy it.
Appearance: darker than a usual lager. A heavy golden lager

Smell; dark with a slight hoppy sent

Taste: mild malty taste with a hint of hops

Mouthfeel; not sure what to say for this part (first time rater)

Overall; very happy with this beer.i rarely have high expectations with beers in cans but these red hare fellas did a good job. I would describe it as a perfect camping beer. Stuck in the woods and bottles arnt Eco-friendly, this is the beer you want, it's not the bud lite piss everyone else has taken with them but it's also not intensely hoppy/malty.
Could certainly kill a six pack of these and be more than merry :)

"This is a Bohemian style pilsner that is packed with flavor. Golden in color, this beer comes through with slightly sweet and biscuity malt notes. We used some noble type hops to bitter, then put our twist on it with some Pacific Northwest hops at the end to deliver a slightly citrusy nose. We hope you find this beer not only sessionable, but also very refreshing after a long day." Brewed in the style of a Czech Pilsener. This is one of Red Hare's two debut beers, and one of the two beers they first packaged in 2012. Available in 6 pack and 12 pack cans and on draft wherever Red Hare is distributed.

Poured from a 12 oz. can to a Red Hare pint glass. Served above 48º Fahrenheit.

(Appearance) Pours a crisp, sudsy head of an ecru-white tone over a golden straw yellow body. Clarity is very high, some fine sediment is the only visual imperfection. Retention is below average, lacing is light and spotty and doesn't stick. 2.5

(Smell) Aromas of toasty biscuit malt, mild caramel grain sweetness. The aroma is a bit sweet in the malt profile but there isn't a lot to say about the hop profile aside from some muted floral notes. Very clean and balance is 2.75

(Taste) Medium biscuit malts with a moderate viscosity. Finishes with a toasted grain malt and a mellow juiciness. While not out of balance as the aroma suggested, the end result is still unremarkable, very dull with no hop presence. 3

(Mouthfeel) Slick, soft, clean texture. Carbonation doesn't impact texture much. Body is medium for the style. Alcohol presence is light+. 3

(Overall) Given how much I have enjoyed Red Hare's reserve releases, I'm a bit surprised that this beer isn't nearly as enjoyable. Dull, overly sweet and out of balance, there's nothing redeeming enough in Long Day Lager to recommend this beer to friends. 2.75

A very surprising lager.

I keep underestimating golden/pale lagers of various styles and keep being wrong. This was such an unexpected taste, and a good one. You go into it thinking pilsner, and expecting the tastes of Czech and Germany, but at the first sip you're getting American hops like in a pale ale. It's a real curveball. It was full flavored and delicious and made me want to keep taking another sip.

Taste like there is some rancid bactericide that has been brewing in this can. Quite a disappointment to my dismay, compared to the overall positive reviews of this pilsner. Has a light mouth feel, a sour malty sweetness. I am just thankful this was given to me for free.
