Intense fresh cacao flavors swirl with popping coconut aromas, all supported by a semi-sweet porter made from loads of dark chocolate and extra dark caramel malt. This limited release specialty comes around once a year to satisfy that sweet tooth, so get 'em while you can before they disappear. At 6.5% ABV and 25 IBUs, this choconut goodness will have you yellin' "Pass. Dash. Hit." all winter long.

Good looking Porter if I say so myself.
Don't smell or taste much coconut here. Some maltiness. Quite dry.
Feels somewhat harsh going down.
Overall: I tried it. Not my thing but if you're buying, I'll have another.

Meh!!! Not a bad experience but not one I would seek out again!! Poured from a 12 oz can into a pint glass, this beer looks pretty good. Features a dense brown color, a medium sized foamy tan head and some lacing on the glass. Head retention is better than average. Aroma is the best part, the coconut is well done and dominates the nose. As far as the taste goes, there is little of any "Porter" aspect. The coconut dominates with the chocolate kicking in and there is very little malt presence, either toasted or bready. It is basically a slightly sweet coconut beer. Not much porter in the mouthfeel either, basically a sweet, smooth, fairly light-bodied brew. The coconut was fine on the nose but took up too much of the flavor to make this a good Porter

11/23/22 12 oz can from mix 6 from Washington Beer Store.

Very dark brown, bordering on black.

Definite coconut with a buttery undertone on nose. Molasses as well.

Cocoa, buttery, COCONUT, molasses with a metallic finish.

Very smooth mouthfeel and the right amount of carbonation. Lash liked this better than i did.

another beer targeting kids imo. this beer really, really, really sucks. always a good laugh seeing how unsweetened beers get horrible reviews on here, while absolute sickly rotgut like this gets overwhelmingly high ratings. u know they're just saying it's good because someone else did. anyway, they call this an irish porter. yikes. Beeradvocate has it under robust porter. That's like labeling a AB INbev budweiser into the category of 'helles'. This adjunct ale should be looked at for what it is. Alcopop. Not recommended.

Dark brown pour, small khaki head, some moderate lacing. Nose gets some coconut, chocolate some coffee. Flavors matched the aroma, coconut heavy. Not bad but I'd most likely pass on it again.

Poured from a 12oz can

On a rough pour a 1.5 finger tan head forms that recedes to a decent foam cap. Not veryuch light gets through at all making a dark brown to black body. Light carbonation. Some lacing forms on the 2nd half once the beer warms a bit.

Aroma is a nice roasty porter accented by sweet chocolate and coconut. The malts shine through nicely and its actually pretty nice. Not sickly sweet but definitely sweeter than a traditional porter. A slight fermentation funk does come through from the yeast. Still definitely a beer but with some nice accents added.

The flavor follows the smell but the coconut is stronger and it mingles with the fermentation a decent bit for a nice balanced complexity. No hops detected, but the malts provide a nice porter aftertaste. If you don't enjoy pastry stouts however you would not enjoy this.

Feel is a bit thick definitely not the best lunchtime beer, but it would be nice by a fire. Thick porter stout feel almost like hot chocolate. Very creamy but with a decent amount of co2 bite still.

Overall it is what it claims. A porter with hints of chocolate and coconut like if you replaced the cookie portion of a Samoa with taddy porter from sam Smith. Nutty eccentuated by coconut and roasy notes with chocolate pretty good. A lot of my coworkers didn't like it.

Copper with a 1/4" tan head, which slowly fades. Moderate lacing.

Aroma is coconut straight off, chocolate, caramel, coffee, roast malt.

Taste follows nose: Coconut, chocolate, caramel, coffee, roast malt.

Full body, light carbonation. Semisweet finish.

Outstanding! Great coconut flavor.

Simply put, this is a great tasting beer. Upon drinking this beer, you get a nice hint of coconut, atop with a dark chocolate essence, with a great dark roasty flavor to add to the mix. If you like almond joys, you are going to love this beer. It's obviously not sweet like candy, but it almost has an almond joy flavor with dark chocolate roast. What a delicious treat!

Opaque near black color with a decent tan head that recedes quickly with very little lacing.
The aroma is coconut and chocolate. The taste is coconut dipped in dark chocolate with an undertone of dark roast malt bitterness. This reminds me of the best chocolate macaroons I've had.
The body is medium with little carbonation evident.
Altogether this is fantastic if you are into macaroons or mounds bars, not so much for those who don't appreciate those flavors.

12/17/21 Disappointing. Expected rich chocolate coconut flavor. Thin, artificial. Not sweet. Better as it warms but over rated.
