Reviewed December 31, 2011. Poured a 12 oz can, canned 11-21-11, into a Snifter.
A: Poured a black body with a one fingered head. Carbonation rising slowly, but surely. An odd speckled head remains which laces nicely.
S: Smells like a leather belt that was dipped in vanilla and then rolled around in tobacco. Some molasses, hint of smokiness, and even a light alcohol smells comes in.
T: A brown sugar malt taste with a bit of alcohol comes. A nutty coffiness comes through at the end and it's nice.
M: This is full bodied, sticky smooth and the carbonation is moderate. The carbonation goes well with this.
O: This is something I definitely prefer over bourbon aged beers. I know they are not the same thing, but they have a similar feel. This is something definitely worth trying.
