Poured from can into pint glass.
A: Dark brown coloring, rather small head.
S: Mostly malt on the nose, but not much else there.
T: The sweetness is a bit overpowering. Not quite sure what else is there causing me to dislike it - maybe a weird licorice aftertaste? This is definitely a malty beverage. Another reviewer said the taste was chalkiness - maybe that's what I'm getting.
M: Rather thin-bodied. Low carbonation.
D: I would say that this was not very drinkable for me - I had to work to take down the whole beer. Honestly, I don't have much experience with scotch ales, so I can't tell if I don't like the style, or I just don't like the beer.
I'm a little disappointed - this has been the only Oskar Blues beer I've tried that I haven't liked.
