A: Pours a bright, lightly hazy deep gold color. The white head is initially tall and foamy, with medium-light consistency. Retention is solid, with the head gradually fading into a denser, craggier cap. Some decent splotches of lacing stick to the glass.
S: Some mildly grainy and doughy malt aromas up front. Definite notes of lager yeast - some very faint fruit punchy notes. Herbal and spicy hop notes are present, but not particularly robust.
T: Doughy, grainy, and somewhat bready malts up front. Medium sweetness. Hop bitterness adds some balance initially, adding some herbal and spicy flavors. A bit of lagery, yeasty roughness lurks in the background. The beer actually finishes sweeter than I was expecting.
M: Firm body for the style. Carbonation is medium. A drying finish.
O: This is solid American take on a Czech pils. Its complexity is lacking compared to some of the better European versions, but that doesn't make this a bad beer. It is a bit sweeter in the finish than I was expecting, and has a surprisingly full mouthfeel for the style.

Taken from my fridge, poured, and let sit for about 3 minutes. It was crisp and clear, with about a 4 finger head that dissipated in about 5 minutes with a good amount of glass lacing. The smell is what I expect in a pilsner: crisp lemon and a bit of bready-ness. The taste follows the smell: lemon with a bit of bready-ness at the end. It's easy to drink and would be a perfect session beer at a BBQ (or with this turkey sub that I have). I'd buy it again to introduce people to craft beers.
