I know the look that some people give me when I introduce them to something I believe to be good beer in cans. They're reasonably sure I know what I'm talking about after many other splendid introductions in my beer store, but the canned item usually needs to be proven. Popping the top and pouring tastes easily overcame any fears about being stuck with something.
I did this yesterday in a crowd of regular customers for Bellport Beer's tasting event and the remarkable thing was the look on everyone who tasted it. They were pleased it didn't taste like a BMC type of beer, but it had its own identity....the sparkling pale yellow beer had a hop/pepper aroma that invited the first taste.
The refreshing taste lacked the sharpness I detest in most American made Pils and it seemed to have a medium to light body that reminded me of Coors in the old days, before pasteurization and the recipe changed, when it was good beer.
The following mouth feel was good with a light warmth that will make this a good tailgating beer this Summer.

Poured from Can into half pint tulip
A - pours a yellow colour with a medium white head with excellent retention
S - floral hops, pilsner malt, hints of fresh grass and some bread
T - starts with an initial floral/pine hop hit followed by sweet malts and more floral notes. Excellent.
M - very smooth, crisp and refreshing. Finishes medium dry
