Purchased a 4-pack from Total Wine, Tustin.
A- Poured from a 12oz can into a Bruery tulip, GUBNA pours clear with a golden, amberish-orange hue. An average pour yields a foamy white head that settles to a fine layer over the beer as drapes of sticky lacing cling to the glass after every sip.
S- Oily pine resin, juicy tropical fruits, pungent grapefruit, and floral, musty notes of cannabis rest on a bed of husky malts. The big alcohol is very evident as the beer warms up.
T- The hop flavors run the gamut of pine, grapefruit, pineapple, and passion fruit, while the malt backing provides very little balance to the searingly hoppy profile. A very dry finish leaves some citrus rind bitterness on the palate, but not for very long. The taste is just boozy enough to be manageable, and it actually kicks up the hop flavors and aromas much like some of my favorite DIPA's -- Maharaja and many of Port's offerings.
M- The beer feels oily and slick with a thick, almost syrupy texture. The carbonation bubbles are very fine but provide enough balance to the viscous mouthfeel.
D- This is a great DIPA. It's pretty drinkable even with it's rich hop bitterness and 10% ABV.

can into a pint glass. Canned 4/28/14, so less than 3 months old. Alright, lets do this.
Looks pretty decent, hazy yellow, lite carbonation. small 1/2 inch white head which persisted. light but interesting lacing.
Almost nothing at all on the nose, some sweet malts.
What the freak? Very sweet, and very boozy. I did get some faint sweetness on the nose, but no boozy smell at all. Almost no hops at first, but then did get some bitterness along the edge of the tongue. Tongue itself coated with sweetness, and an alcohol burn in the back of the throat. Now this was not exactly unpleasant, but not expected from a less than 3 month old DIPA. 10%abv very obvious.
Mouth was around medium, and a little syrupy.
Was pretty disapointed in this. The taste I got, while not unpleasant, was not what I was expecting.

12 oz can poured into a a ipa glass. This beer has golden color body with a small foamy creamy head. The aroma has a bitter hop aroma. The taste straight out is a burst of bitter hop. It also has a malt on the back of the tongue. The hops leave a bitter hop aftertaste on the tongue and overall a darn good imperial ipa.

Poured a deep golden amber with a thin white head that hangs out around the outside. A little bit of lacing. The aroma has a definite hop presence but it seems it a little restrained. The taste, however is not. This is a hop bomb with a nice tropical fruit and floral presence up front and a hint of pine on the finish. It has a pretty thick mouthfeel and is a great imperial IPA.
