Poured with a nice, creamy two-finger width head that dissipated quickly to maybe a half-finger. Some lacing on the glass. The body of the beer is very a very clear amber color. Smelling it, the beer has the hops to kill, but very consistent probably attributed to the single hop variety used in brewing. The taste is obviously hoppy, but also the alcohol shows itself with a a little more burn on the back end than I would like. Medium mouthfeel, fairly smooth given what I expected. Overall, straightforward, but nothing spectacular.

can into a pint glass. Canned 4/28/14, so less than 3 months old. Alright, lets do this.
Looks pretty decent, hazy yellow, lite carbonation. small 1/2 inch white head which persisted. light but interesting lacing.
Almost nothing at all on the nose, some sweet malts.
What the freak? Very sweet, and very boozy. I did get some faint sweetness on the nose, but no boozy smell at all. Almost no hops at first, but then did get some bitterness along the edge of the tongue. Tongue itself coated with sweetness, and an alcohol burn in the back of the throat. Now this was not exactly unpleasant, but not expected from a less than 3 month old DIPA. 10%abv very obvious.
Mouth was around medium, and a little syrupy.
Was pretty disapointed in this. The taste I got, while not unpleasant, was not what I was expecting.
