Basically the same notes I had the first time I tasted this one. But I found this beer to be un-balanced. The hops were high, so was the alcohol, but perhaps some more malt would have made this tastier,, Overall for me, too much hops (which is very strange for me to say) to go along with this beer. So very dry, a bit too dry
Pours a nice amber color with a full bright white head. Just a tint of orange color in the pour. The nose was full of hops, pine needles, cirtrus fruits, oranges, lemons and pink grapefruit.
The first taste was so very DRY. Not as full as I would expect a beer with this high an ABV value. The second and third sips were better and better. As the beer was half way down my beer glass, the aroma opened up so much more. Strong bitter hoppiness.
The aftertaste was lingering, very long and dry and bitter as only a good full IPA should be
I've come across this with wine, but never with beer, this one was chewable, meaning full, strong bold but not something to hit you on the side of your face

can into a pint glass. Canned 4/28/14, so less than 3 months old. Alright, lets do this.
Looks pretty decent, hazy yellow, lite carbonation. small 1/2 inch white head which persisted. light but interesting lacing.
Almost nothing at all on the nose, some sweet malts.
What the freak? Very sweet, and very boozy. I did get some faint sweetness on the nose, but no boozy smell at all. Almost no hops at first, but then did get some bitterness along the edge of the tongue. Tongue itself coated with sweetness, and an alcohol burn in the back of the throat. Now this was not exactly unpleasant, but not expected from a less than 3 month old DIPA. 10%abv very obvious.
Mouth was around medium, and a little syrupy.
Was pretty disapointed in this. The taste I got, while not unpleasant, was not what I was expecting.
