Served out of a can, and bought from a retailer i trust for storing beer correctly.

A= Slightly darker than one would guess, almost amber, red, copper, a light brown leather. Head was a nice sea foam appearance, not lasting long but very spongy or puffy after pour, and sticks around the glass, lacing for a while.

S= Not a lot of effervescence which could be affected by the thick head. I would really like more in the nose from this beer.

T= Pretty nice. Not too aggressive on the palate, and the flavors come together really well. A slight hint of the malt in the flavor of raw dough, but is immediately backed by a nice hop backbone. Alcohol content is evident, I would guess it at around its ABV, however very consumable. I could have more than a few of these in a sitting.

M= Goes down well, slight diacetyl slipperiness after 30-60 seconds, but not in a bad way. No other strong after tastes, texture is good. I like it.

O= This works for me. I would drink this over other similar pale ales that i think are attemping the same thing, sierra nevada is the comparison right now, having grown up in northern california. Ill tell you that this blows it away. Not that clean and citrusy pale you might want, a little unrefined even, but sometimes that malt backing is a good thing. A nice beer.
