A - Slightly cloudy pale body with off-white low head. Nice retention and lacing.

S - Lemon, grapefruit, and malts

T - Incredible citrus hops upfront, so refreshing. Deep earthy malts rush in and an aftertaste leaving behind a nice taste of alcohol.

M - Medium/light body, moderate bubbly carbonation.

O - This is a fantastically drinkable beer. The body, carbonation, and clean hop flavor never get old. Oskar Blues can do no wrong!

Appearance: Cloudy golden color. Nice carbonation and decent head retention.

Smell: Grainy, yeasty aroma. For the home brewers out there it smells exactly like wort to me.

Taste: Sweet, malty start with a hoppy finish. I may be crazy (or brewed too many beers) but it tastes a lot like wort smells, at least to me.

Mouthfeel: Nicely balanced carbonation with a bit of thickness.

Overall: A very unexpected, different tasting ale. Not bad, but I'm not sure it's one I'd drink often...

Appearance: Poured a huge, creamy, 2 finger head that lingered for while. Clear amber color. Excellent lacing.

Smell: Citrus hops up front - tropical fruits, grapefruit, some pineapple. Underneath is smooth caramel and roasted malt. And how is this not an IPA?

Taste: Nicely balanced between both sweet and bitter hops and malts. The flavors blend together in a way that is really unique and delicious. Sweet citrus hops and caramel up front. Nice bittersweet grapefruit and pine resin joins the party soon after.

Mouthfeel: Medium, almost thick, body with incredibly crisp, almost sharp, carbonation. Semi-dry, oily finish with nice lingering bitterness. Beautifully balanced.

Overall: This is a really good beer. The ingredients were combined to make a unique and damn addictive flavor. I will be having this beer many more times to come.

There are lots of hops in this one that pushes it on the verge of IPA territory. Dale’s Pale Ale maintains a nice hop presence while staying fresh and highly satisfying. Definitely a pale ale for a hop head, and maybe too much hops for someone looking for a milder pale ale. I really enjoyed this one and canned beer or no canned beer; this is a fantastic pale ale!
