12oz can into a tulip. The brew appears a hazed copper color with a finger of yellowish stained froth. As the cap slowly fades it leaves patches of lace sticking everywhere. A light swirl revives a finger back to the surface.

The aroma has hop quality smelling of citrus, fruits and a floral to rindy and herbal aspect. There is a light mineral quality behind the hops coupled with some caramel to toasty sweet malt inclusion. As it warms up, there is a mild cheesy aspect.

The taste is bitter and rindy with some citrus hops and herbal to rindy aspects. The caramel to toffee malt inclusion is present providing a contrasting sweetness. There is a faint mineral quality with some solvent alcohol that blends the malt and hops together. The aftertaste is a bit cheesy.

This is a medium bodied brew with a modest amount of carbonation. It has a warming alcohol inclusion and blends together nicely. I feel like this can is a bit dated as the hops dont really have that brightness you would expect from a solid american pale ale. Overall its a good brew that I would have again if i knew the cans were fresh.

Nice balance of bitterness and sweetness with a lingering bitterness that I like. Not too sweet or dry maybe a bit on the high side alcohol wise for a pale ale. The nose on this beer starts nicely but seems to slip away kind of fast. Firm body for style and overall one of my favorite beers for a long time.
