Fun red/white/blue can. Nice slightly hazy dark yellow pour. Nice thick creamy off-white head. Strong pine/floral aroma greets the nose. Good heavy malt start with the substantial hops coming through about half-way into the sip. Strong citrus dominates the palate until the swallow. Then a crisp, slightly bitter finish. Very quaffable. A strong go to APA with more hops than average. (392 characters)

Stovepipe can poured into an Oskar Blues pint glass

A: Pours deep golden yellow, verging on amber, with a frothy khaki head that laces very nicely.

S: Citrus hops backed with sweet malt.

T: Citrus and floral hops, some orange and grapefruit, well balanced with sweet malt, a little earthy with a little pine on the finish.

M: On the heavier side of medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: Pretty hard to go wrong with this one. Great APA! (443 characters)

Pours a nice copper color with a one and a half finger head. The nose is mostly orange citrus with tropical notes. There's a good presence of caramel malt too. The flavor is nice. Very big malt presence, but it's balanced with strong hops. There is something peppery and a strong taffy flavor. Balance is the name of the game. Nice, thick mouthfeel. I could drink this all day. (380 characters)

A- Foamy head with sticky lacing
and a cloudy orange color
S- Smell of citrus and piney hops
T- I taste lots of bitterness, citrus and pine hops
F- Medium to full feel with bubbly carbonation
O- I consider this more of an IPA honestly. This brew is all about the hops. I would recommend if you are into big hops. (313 characters)

I've actually never tried this one before tonight. Here goes:

A: Adequate. Clear orange-amber that pours a nice white head. Leaves a ton of lacing as well. Carbonation very apparent.

S: Mediocre, but not bad Hops are good but somewhat muted. Can detect grapefruit and citrus. Not complicated, but still good. Also has a very adequate malt backbone - nice crystal and lightly-kilned malts.

T: Good. Light grapefruit and citrus followed by caramel malt. Feels nice and light, too.

M: Good carbonation and a mouthfeel of ample thickness.

O; Very solid beer. Surprised that I never had it until now. (616 characters)

Dale's is the biggest seller for Oskar Blues, and as a hoppy APA that most people think of when they think of a craft beer, I see why. It's just a little too hoppy for my taste, but I certainly enjoy one now and then. I'm just not quite as enthused about this one as most people I know though. (295 characters)

Dale's Pale Ale-Oskar Blues Grill & Brew with 6.50% ABV. This brew pours out a nice dark amber color with a nice white head. The smell is rich with hops and grains. You pick up some bitterness in the smell of this brew. So far I like this brew. The taste has a bite to it. There is a lot of hops in this brew. Dale's Pale Ale taste grows on you. After a bit it is smooth and refreshing. Dale's Pale Ale is an Ok drinking brew. The mouthfeel is nice and clean. There is nothing over powering in this brew. Over all I'm giving this brew a 4 out of 5.
I would get this brew again. (581 characters)

Dale's Pale Ale - Oskar Blues Grill & Brew. Poured from the can into a pint glass, this brew's got a 2 finger thick off white soapy head, great looking lacing. and a clear, light amber body

I smell a sweeter hoppy grapefruit aroma.

Tastes like roasted malts with sweet, floral hops. Greatly balanced.

Mouthfeel is crisp and smooth. Very, very refeshing

Overall a 4 for Dale's Pale Ale - Oskar Blues Grill & Brew. I may buy this brew again (460 characters)

On tap at National on 10th in Cowtown.

Appearance - Pours a light copper with two fingers of fluffy white head.

Smell - bready malts, citrus, grassy hops

Taste - Bready malts followed by citrus and a pleasant hit from the bitter grassy hops.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes with a pleasant lingering bitterness.

Overall - A well crafted APA with a nice punch from the grassy hops and caramalt sweetness. Glad to have finally tried this long time want. (488 characters)

A: Yellow foggy with moderate thick white head on top.

S: Grapefruit and pine along with massive hops.

T: Sticky pine resin, grapefruit notes, apple, honey suckle, sugar cane, sweet bread, and just a hint of toffee in the back.

M: Thicker side of medium. Awesome stickiness to this beer. Like a sweet hoppy snack.

O: Favorite pale ale so far. Nothing beats the sticky pinyness that this beer has. (405 characters)

Pucker up because this is one strong can of brew. The hard htting hops and powerful finish make is a really fun drink. The top of the can lets you know what you are in for as you kick this one back. (202 characters)

Nice looking typical American Pale Ale. Golden amber appearance with a very good head and lacing
The aroma is not terribly strong but has nice citrusy cascade hop notes.

The taste is quite juicy and fruity with a lot of citrus flavours. I tasted a lot of grapefruit and some oil hop resin. Dale's Pale Ale has quite a high level of bitterness that could push this pale ale into IPA territory if anybody wanted to regard it that way.

This beer reminded me of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale with a touch stronger flavour and a bit more bitterness. The higher abv (6.5% compared to SNPA's 5.6) may have helped make this beer taste a touch bigger.

A very enjoyable American Pale Ale with a good high level of fruity hop flavour.

Really smooth for the ABV and for being a pale ale. Nice head when poured can to glass. Taste resides in the front of the mouth, moving to middle and upper palate on swallow. Aftertaste minimal, little lingering. Head seems to diminish quickly. Clean taste. Sessionable. Would buy again. Pairs well with a tobacco vape blend like Axiom's Honeysuckle Tobacco. (358 characters)

On tap at Rattle n Hum, NYC. I've seen this all over in cans but never ventured try it. This is not quite a revelation, but it does make me pinch myself for my trepidation. Nice copper color, staunch head w/a lacing that indicates a respect in the process. Not much aroma but a very full & balanced flavor. This is pretty much my level of hop tolerence, but I don`t mind it one bit.Now to find a singular can to complete the 'research'. (436 characters)

This is my go to beer. Great caramel color with a nice sized head. The smell is just what an IPA should smell like. Unlike Southern Tier the mouthfeel is very smooth. Its also now available in Target which makes going there a little bit better. Pack it in and pack it out. (272 characters)

COD 4/21/14. Pours a clear almost medium amber with a nice dark ruby tint. Tremendous head with excellent lacing and retention. Very nice nose of tropical citrus hops over a pine and light caramel background. Medium body with an almost slick texture. Above average carbonation with a nice effervescent finish. The flavor profile is complex and well balanced. It begins with a blend of hop flavors found in the nose, then rapidly flows to a pine focused hop bitterness over a slightly tart note. As the bitterness fades, a light caramel sweetness emerges in the effervescent finish. A tart pine bitterness with hints of spice lingers. (633 characters)

-from notes
Poured from a "stovepipe" can into a glass

Pours a very nice cloudy copper-orange with a one-finger, foamy head that leaves some light lacing.

The aroma is subtle; grassy, with a bit of lemon.

The taste is marvelous. I get some pine and grassiness up front with a hint of sweet nuttiness and bready malt. There is a nice, lingering bitterness.

Really like the feel of this beer. A little smooth with a nice mouth-coating quality.

Overall, a really good beer that I wish was available to me on a regular basis. (526 characters)

Says Pale Ale but "voluminously hopped mutha of a pale ale" on the top of the can is more accurate. Check this out if you like tossing up the differences between Sierra Nevada and Siera Nevada Torpedo!!!! (204 characters)

Poured into a tulip glass

a - red caramel with white head

s - woody and earthy

t - starts sweet, then turns hoppy, finish has caramel and chocolate notes

m - moderately full

o - Not what I expected, in fact much better than I expected. Hoppy and complexity mix to create a wonderful flavor profile and the texture compliments the taste very well. (352 characters)

Oskar Blues Dale’s Pale Ale has a thick, off-white head, a hazy, golden-orange appearance, a few bubbles, and heavy lacing. The aroma is of rather rich, sweet, bready malt and hop resin. Taste is of the same things, with noticeable, yet not harsh, bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and a bit slick, and Dale’s Pale Ale finished semi-dry and easily drinkable.

Picked up a six pack of these while grabbing some of my my go to Old Chub. Also a big fan of Ten Fidy and not sure why I have never had this one but had to give it a go. Outstanding looking beer with an excellent nose, clean and I fresh. Disappointed with the taste. It is good, but not as good as I was expecting. Overall a decent beer but not quite the level of other Oskar Blues offerings. (392 characters)

Purchased from one of the local quick marts.

A: An Orange golden with good head and retention.

S: Somewhat floral hop notes with malt. Nice actually.

T: Balanced hop and malt. More hop forward.

M: Smooth yet crisp. Rich.

O: Pretty darn good for the style. Not my favorite but still good. (293 characters)

Served in pint glass
Yellow gold look with some light cream lacing
Pine floral like aroma
Taste more on the IPA range but excellent nonetheless. I really like the smooth taste and feel of this beer and will buy again. At 6.5 ABV and over 200 cals. will not be drinking and pounding but great for a shorter nite of drinking. (323 characters)

A: Pours a clear copper with a dense white head. Great head retention and lacing.

S: Bright floral, pine and grapefruit hop aromas with a pleasant malt underpinning with notes of caramel and orange peel.

T: Hoppy bit in the beginning of floral pine, little grapefruit... somewhat earthy. Low caramel malt flavor, not a big part of the flavor profile. The malt is subdued, yet sweet on the tongue. The finish is dry and more toward the bitter side with little noticeable astringency.

M: Actually closer to a medium body beer, a moderate amount of carbonation. Not a biting bitterness, pleasant tingle, almost creamy.

O: Not a terribly exciting malt profile, more hop forward. Nice hop flavor but not overly complex. A good malt backbone and a very nice simple hop profile. It seems like a one trick pony... but it's a REALLY good trick. Definitely a great beer to cool down with. (884 characters)
