I've been looking out for this for a while. I grabbed some on a business trip the other day. Dale's Pale is one of my favorites so I was excited to get a whole of Double Dale's.
The deviant version has the familiar copper coloring of Dale's and just a little white, fluffy head.
When I cracked open the can, I was immediately met with resinous dank hoppylicious aroma.
The dankness was slightly more subdued in the taste due to a little malty sweetness shining through. While good, I would have liked that dankness to pop a little more.
This was a very good IPA/DIPA. I enjoyed it much more than Gubna and I'm glad OB is rocking this brew.
