Poured from a 16oz tall boy into a standard pint glass
A - pours a brilliant medium orange with a two and a half finger head thats dark eggshell in color. The head is very foamy and leaves a large amount of lacing.
S - piney, spicy and very heavy on the tropical hop notes. Not much in malts or alcohol detected.
T - very hop forward as expected. Tons of pine throughout, especially in the late bitterness. Some tropical profiles build in mid palate but are overshadowed by the pine. A slightly coarse bitterness stays with you for a while, whichis heavy pine.
M - on the heavier side of light. Slightly creamy.
D - fairly low for me. The pine overpowers everything, especially in the bitterness making it a longer drink than it should be.
Overall, a pretty good beer. The visuals were the best part of this beer. I wish there was a little more hop flavor to tear down the immense amount of pine. I found the hop flavor and bitterness is somewhat one dimensional.

Born on date : 4/24/14 - Enjoyed 7/27/14
A: Honey colored with 1 finger of white head. The head settles relatively quickly. The can includes a very obvious, and readable, born on date on the bottom!
S: Piney and floral. There are mild hints of citrus. As it warmed I got more grassy smells.
T: Sweet on the front of the tongue. The finish is piney and grassy with just a hint of bitter.
M: Smooth and easy to drink. The carbonation is low.
O: Great overall beer. All of the parts play well together. Only a slight hint of the 8% ABV. This beer is complex and has lots of flavors going on. Also the bitterness is kept in check - which I like.
