Pours a perfect two finger head with great lacing. CLoudy orange color that gets less cloudy with time.
Smell is of citrus hops. Man is this pungent. Invites me and beckons me. Just a bit of fusels underneath... I think this is a good border of IPA/DIPA like Dale's is PA/IPA.
Taste is very bitter with some decent hop flavoring. Just a touch of caramel malt sweetness to balance but not detract. Just a bit of alcohol bite on the tongue that detracts just slightly. It's not masked as well as it could potentially be masked.
Mouthfeel is full. Carbonation is perfect. Might have a tiny bit more residual sugars for this ABV.
Overall this is a great sort of hybrid IPA/DIPA style. Everyone should try it.

Born on date : 4/24/14 - Enjoyed 7/27/14
A: Honey colored with 1 finger of white head. The head settles relatively quickly. The can includes a very obvious, and readable, born on date on the bottom!
S: Piney and floral. There are mild hints of citrus. As it warmed I got more grassy smells.
T: Sweet on the front of the tongue. The finish is piney and grassy with just a hint of bitter.
M: Smooth and easy to drink. The carbonation is low.
O: Great overall beer. All of the parts play well together. Only a slight hint of the 8% ABV. This beer is complex and has lots of flavors going on. Also the bitterness is kept in check - which I like.
