$3.99 for a 16 ounce can at the Hoboken vine. Seems kinda pricey but given what the prices are for bombers of beer it's on par; happy to spend four bucks to try one.
Pours a deep amber color with a generous white head. Hits the nose with pine, hits the palate with grapefruit and pine. Deep, underlying black tea sweetness that underlines the heavy dose of hops. Medium bodied and pretty well balanced, all things considered.
This is smack dab in the middle of the spectrum I think about regarding IPAs and double IPAs. More intense than what I think about when thinking IPA, but mild for a double IPA.
I might not want to plunk down $14-16 for a four pack but I think I'd be happy to pick up a single from time to time. A tasty and satisfying dose of hops.

Born on date : 4/24/14 - Enjoyed 7/27/14
A: Honey colored with 1 finger of white head. The head settles relatively quickly. The can includes a very obvious, and readable, born on date on the bottom!
S: Piney and floral. There are mild hints of citrus. As it warmed I got more grassy smells.
T: Sweet on the front of the tongue. The finish is piney and grassy with just a hint of bitter.
M: Smooth and easy to drink. The carbonation is low.
O: Great overall beer. All of the parts play well together. Only a slight hint of the 8% ABV. This beer is complex and has lots of flavors going on. Also the bitterness is kept in check - which I like.
