On tap at Vine & Barley. Served in a snifter.
Appearance - Deep brown. Slight transparency. Nice khaki head and a little bit of lacing.
Smell - Whiskey. Nutty caramel malts and buttery scotch already aroma.
Taste - Oak is much more prevalent. Whiskey isn't as strong. Lots of vanilla. Caramel malt and some nutty flavors. Whiskey finish.
Mouthfeel - It's kinda boozy, but not much. Medium heavy.
Overall - A rare treat to find on tap. Very delicious.

Had this at the Flying Saucer BeerFeast in Sugar Land, Texas.
This is up there with Karbach's Hellfighter BB to me in awesome flavor. They don't taste the same as they are different styles, but both are so well done.
The whiskey is easy to find and just smooths everything out. WIsh this was something I could find regularly as it is fantastic.
Just picked up some regular Old Chub to see how it compares.

On tap at the Untapped Festival in Dallas.
The beer pours a brownish color with a tan head. The aroma has a ton of whiskey up front, with a little bit of peat character thrown in for good measure. The flavor is more of the same. This is a very whiskey heavy beer that has a nice alcohol quality, as well as some oak, vanilla and maple. There is also a hint of peat and some smoke that remind you this began life as a scotch ale. Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation.
